Faculty in the BCD Cluster undertake funded industry-relevant research, teach courses in Accounting, Aviation Management, Communication Management, and Hospitality Business, as well as supervise industry masters and doctorate students in relevant topics. They are also provided paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or spend time attached with industry. We will prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates with either (a) an earned Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputable university with specialisation in any of the above-mentioned areas and some relevant work experience, or (b) extensive industry experience with demonstrated strong technical expertise in the above-mentioned areas.  Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. The person appointed will have a proven record of research and publication, appropriate to career stage. They will be expected to collaborate on a three-year research and teaching impact initiative called the Maynooth University Food Sovereignty Lab (FSL) within the Department of Geography. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Patrick Bresnihan to develop the FSL and enable academic exchange regarding food system change among researchers and students in Maynooth University, as well as in Ireland and internationally. The candidate will also conduct research, contribute to public knowledge, and engage policy-making communities shaping Ireland and the world’s food system. Ref.: 534737 Work type: Full-time Department: Faculty of Dentistry (08000) Categories: Professoriate Staff Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Community Dentistry of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 534737), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract, subject to satisfactory performance. The Faculty of Dentistry is the only dental school in Hong Kong and the only one in Greater China that uses English as the medium of instruction. The high quality of the Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, research excellence and clinical/professional services have attained global recognition, as evidenced by the Faculty’s global rankings among the top three by the QS World University Rankings by Subject for nine out of the past eleven years (2015-2025). The Faculty’s strategic research themes include Clinical Artificial Intelligence, Craniofacial Regeneration, Microbiome Innovation, Oral Cancer, and Population Oral Health. The Faculty also plays an important role in public and professional education through its knowledge exchange (KE) activities as well as in oral health research and promotions in international, regional and local communities. Applicants should possess a Dental Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a clinical specialist qualification or equivalent status in Community Dentistry. They should have: ability in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching and practice; potential for and interest in research; proven ability in clinical excellence; ability and willingness to participate in Faculty affairs; and participation in KE activities. Publications in international peer-reviewed journals are considered an advantage. The appointee will engage in the clinical and didactic teaching in Community Dentistry, supervise research projects, develop his/her own line of research, and participate in the clinical and administrative duties of the Faculty. He/she should demonstrate excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in the field of Community Dentistry. He/she is also expected to work collaboratively in a dynamic and diverse environment, develop a competitive research portfolio, and contribute to the curricula available at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
