We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in neuroimaging to join an innovative, multidisciplinary, and internationally collaborative research program integrating psychiatry, neuroscience, and immunology to uncover the biological mechanisms of severe mental illness. The position is based at the Psychiatric Neuroscience Lab, Taipei Medical University (Taiwan), jointly led by Dr. Matteo Martino (Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain, and Consciousness) and Dr. Paola Magioncalda (International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine, College of Medicine). Research focus and project overview Our lab investigates the core and multifaceted pathophysiological mechanisms of major psychiatric disorders, with a particular focus on bipolar disorder, as well as schizophrenia and major depression. We aim to develop mechanistic models of severe mental illness, integrating clinical, neuroimaging, physiological, and immunological data within unified theoretical frameworks. Our work has been published in leading journals including Nature Mental Health, Molecular Psychiatry, and PNAS. Available datasets include structural MRI, diffusion MRI, and resting-state functional MRI.
