Taipei Medical University (TMU) has been a leader in Taiwan's healthcare system for more than half a century. Around 6,600 students from over 40 countries are currently enrolled in TMU's 11 colleges. TMU leads in many research areas including translational cancer research, neuroscience and neurosurgery, biomedical devices and tissue engineering, cell therapy and regenerative medicine, and biomedical informatics. As one of the capital city region's largest healthcare systems, TMU has 7 affiliated hospitals and institutions. Contract type: Full-time Job Description Taipei Medical University is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a Ph.D. and outstanding academic achievements in medical neuroscience, life sciences, or a closely related discipline from an accredited public, private, or foreign university recognized by the Ministry of Education (R.O.C.). The appointment will be based in the College of Medical Science and Technology at Taipei Medical University. Salary $83,720NTD~ $198,770NTD per month + benefits Selection Criteria Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree with outstanding academic achievements in medical neuroscience, life sciences, or a closely related discipline from a public or accredited private university, independent college, or a foreign institution recognized in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education. Candidates should have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience or other relevant research experience. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in neuroscience, molecular biology, or translational medicine, particularly those with research interests related to rare neurological diseases and experience in applying for and managing government-funded research projects. Applications are accepted from foreign faculty candidates only. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team-based and interdisciplinary research environments. Proven ability to apply for research grants, with experience in conducting large-scale research projects, research proposal development, international research experience, a record of international collaboration, and the capacity for independent research. Demonstrated ability to teach in English as a medium of instruction (EMI), innovate in teaching and research, and work effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Candidates with prior teaching experience will be given priority. Strong commitment to teaching excellence and talent development.
