Surindra Rajabhat University (SRRU) was first established as Surin Teachers College under the Thai Ministry of Education in the early 1970s to meet regional demand for teacher education in Surin and the surrounding northeastern provinces. It later became Surindra Rajabhat Institute in 1995 before being granted full university status in 2004. It forms part of Thailand’s national Rajabhat University system.
Surindra Rajabhat University offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes delivered across six main faculties: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Industrial Technology, and Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Industry.
Within these faculties, the university provides structured programmes in key disciplinary areas including teacher education and educational administration, curriculum and learning innovation, business administration and accountancy, public administration and political science, computer science and information technology, as well as engineering-related and industrial technology fields.
Beyond study, the Student Affairs Division coordinates student clubs, academic societies, cultural groups, sports, and volunteer activities. Students participate in structured co-curricular events, competitions, and university-led programmes that promote leadership development, cultural engagement, and community involvement across campus life.
