Applications are now invited for the following post: Senior Lecturer / Lecturer Department of Sociology and Social Policy (Post Ref.: 25/284) The Department of Sociology and Social Policy brings together scholars with international research experience and publication records in the major areas of Sociology and Social Policy. Over the years, our faculty members have been the recipients of the University’s Research Excellence Award and Teaching Excellence Award. The Department offers undergraduate teaching in Sociology, Social and Public Policy, and Health and Social Services Management, while hosting an MSocSc Programme in Comparative Social Policy (International) (IMCSP). We have been consistently successful in attracting MPhil and PhD students from around the world, particularly the recipients of the Hong Kong RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme, and obtaining the General Research Fund (GRF) and other external competitive grants. General Requirements Applicants should have a PhD degree in Sociology, Social Policy, Social Work, Health Studies or other related disciplines, with relevant teaching experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are essential. The appointee should be able to take up teaching duties in some of the courses on the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) Programme, including but not limited to: “Introduction to Health and Social Care”, “Fundraising and Programme Evaluation”, “Health and Social Service Provisions for Special Populations”, “Health and Social Service Project” and “Social Innovation & Social Enterprises”. The appointee should be prepared to actively support the coordination and development of our teaching programmes. Appointment The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The SIT x NVIDIA AI Centre (SNAIC) is seeking a business-driven professional to lead industry partnerships and growth initiatives that expand the Centre’s commercial and strategic footprint. The role is responsible for identifying high-value collaboration opportunities, shaping business models for applied AI projects, and securing funding or co-development commitments that contribute to SNAIC’s long-term sustainability. Working at the intersection of technology and business, this role acts as SNAIC’s front-facing dealmaker, translating market demand, ecosystem signals, and AI innovation into viable partnerships across areas such as Generative AI, Large Language Models, Computer Vision, Digital Twins, and Multimodal AI. Success in this role requires strong commercial instincts, the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders, and the discipline to drive opportunities from early exploration through signed agreements and delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Industry Engagement & Business Development Identify, qualify, and engage potential industry, government, and ecosystem partners for applied AI collaboration opportunities. Drive the deal process from initial discussion through to agreement. Manage active partnership accounts and track delivery milestones to ensure commitments, timelines, and outputs are met. 2. Marketing, Outreach & Positioning Contribute to industry events, workshops, showcases, and demos that strengthen SNAIC’s visibility and lead generation. Support development of partnership assets such as case studies, pitch decks, project proposals, and success stories. Work with internal teams to amplify SNAIC’s applied AI capabilities to targeted sectors and communities. 3. Data, Reporting & Pipeline Management Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline of leads, partners, proposals, and project statuses. Generate periodic dashboards and management reports on engagement performance, deal progress, and partnership outcomes. Ensure data accuracy and traceability across all stages of the partnership lifecycle. Job Requirement Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, innovation projects, or roles involving both technical and commercial stakeholders. Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ideally in a cross-functional environment. Working understanding of AI concepts, use cases, and industry trends, with interest in areas such as Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision, or Digital Twins. Exposure to NVIDIA’s AI ecosystem (e.g., Omniverse, CUDA, DGX, NGC) is a plus, but not required. Description The Deep Learning laboratory in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to work on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL). The successful applicant will lead the labs music generation initiative. Our laboratory has expertise in deep learning, including deep reinforcement learning, large language models, and the theory of deep learning. The candidate will develop DRL algorithms for online and off-line tasks, for robotic applications and possibly for LLM reasoning applications in the future. The work will involve designing algorithms, running experiments on the HPC, analyzing the results and improving the algorithms. It will also involve extensive literature reviews. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in computer science, have significant experience with deep learning with PyTorch, and have expertise in reinforcement learning. The applicant should have already completed several major projects in DRL. The applicant should also possess excellent mathematical and English skills. A Professional Officer has a combination of job responsibilities relating to the following: participate in and manage innovation projects, manage digital technology related resources, and mentor & facilitate student learning. The Centre for Digital Enablement (CoDE) drives the initiatives to elevate digital competencies for academic staff and students within SIT. It works with various stakeholders, both internal and external, in upskilling digital literacy across the organization through literacy programmes and digital innovation projects in relation to the Digital Learning Spaces (DLS). For this role, you will spearhead the various cybersecurity enablement programmes in SIT, manage the cybersecurity related resources and initiatives within CoDE, and lead cybersecurity projects within SIT and with industry partners to support teaching and learning objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering digital literacy courses to undergraduate students and academic staff as part of the institutional drive to ensure our graduates are ready for a highly digitally-enabled workforce. Good programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
