About the Team/Service/Location This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-career Software Engineer to show strong leadership and progress your research goals. As Programme Lead for Software Engineering, this full-time role is expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as the supervision of honours, graduate and postgraduate students. The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor will be expected to maintain professional associations, establish and promote collaborations with industry, and contribute to outreach events. Salary will be in the range of $113,428 to $148,799 for a Senior Lecturer, or $150,661 to $166,176 for an Associate Professor, per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based at our Hillcrest Campus. We are especially interested in appointing an experienced academic who can provide leadership in integrating emerging AI tools and methodologies into our software engineering programme. The successful candidate will hold a relevant PhD and have demonstrated teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including successful supervision of Masters and Doctoral students, supported by a strong track record of securing competitive research funding. Additionally, experience leading a team of academic colleagues is strongly preferred, as well as a willingness to contribute to both our Hamilton and Tauranga programmes. Who are we? Au Reikura - The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato comprises four discipline groups. The Software Engineering group has research strengths in areas such as human-centred computing, internet of things, and software correctness. Software Engineering is closely aligned with the Computer Science programme, where we have a strong presence in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. The University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship in Education in the Migration Society (Open Rank) starting on 1 February 2028. Depending on the qualifications of the appointee, the professorship will take the form of a chair or a tenure-track assistant professorship. The professorship is based at the Institute of Education at the University of Zurich.
