We are seeking a strategic and values-driven leader with experience operating at Executive or Board level in a complex organisation. You will bring a strong track record of leading large-scale organisational change, building high-performing teams, and delivering both strategic and operational excellence. You will be confident navigating employee relations and trade union engagement, and able to build trusted relationships and influence across a wide range of stakeholders. With excellent judgement, emotional intelligence and communication skills, you will be adept at operating in a collegial and intellectually dynamic environment. We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurses active on the NMC register to join the Mental Health Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly, and supportive and is enthusiastic and committed to developing the Mental Health Nurses of the future. Mental Health Nurses with experience working with children, young people and their families, as well as those with extensive knowledge of working with older people, would complement our current team. You will be involved in the face-to-face delivery of our nationally recognised pre-registration BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing, our Integrated Masters of Nursing leading to registration as a Mental Health/Adult Nurse or Children’s/Mental Health Nurse, and our 2 year MSc Mental Health Nursing programme. You will have an exceptional understanding of issues facing contemporary clinical practice in Mental Health Nursing founded in your own clinical practice. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for outstanding nurse education and has a dynamic vision for how education and research can transform mental health care across the lifespan. You will have completed a Masters level qualification and ideally have educational experience. However, we are also keen to hear from Mental Health Nurses who have a passion for teaching students and would like to develop a career in education. Southampton Clinical Trials Unit Location: Hybrid – There is a requirement to work in the office at Southampton at least 60% of contracted hours. Salary: Level 4 Full Time - Fixed Term for 24 months (part time may be considered at 0.8 fte) The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), based at Southampton General Hospital, manages a growing portfolio of multi-centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. Due to new grant awards we have a vacancy for a Trial Manager to join the existing team to develop and manage one or more trials. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join a CTU which has full registration status from the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC).  The successful applicant will have significant experience of clinical trials in the NHS or the commercial health research sector. They will also have excellent organisation and communication skills, a good understanding and knowledge of GCP and clinical trial regulations. The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits. The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract in the first instance with the possibility of an extension. This is advertised as a full time position, though part time may be considered (minimum 0.8 FTE).
