We are inviting applications for one pivotal academic position: an Associate Professor (Level D) or a Senior Lecturer (Level C). This role is intended to broaden our existing strengths through an established and externally funded research program in areas such as reliability-based design and assessment, modular construction, timber structures, fire engineering, sustainability of structures, blast and impact loading, or AI in structural engineering. Senior Lecturer (Level C): Contribute substantially to teaching, research, and professional activities. You will take primary responsibility for teaching building structures and structural analysis across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while supervising higher degree by research candidates and actively contributing to the academic life of the Department. Associate Professor (Level D): Provide high-level academic leadership and significant disciplinary contribution nationally and internationally. Recognized for distinction in your field, you will lead higher degree by research supervision, maintain sustained industry engagement, and deliver significant teaching in building structures and structural analysis. We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurses active on the NMC register to join the Mental Health Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. Southampton Clinical Trials Unit Location: Hybrid – There is a requirement to work in the office at Southampton at least 60% of contracted hours. Salary: Level 4 Full Time - Fixed Term for 24 months (part time may be considered at 0.8 fte) The Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), based at Southampton General Hospital, manages a growing portfolio of multi-centre clinical trials that will directly influence routine clinical practice. Due to new grant awards we have a vacancy for a Trial Manager to join the existing team to develop and manage one or more trials. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join a CTU which has full registration status from the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC). The successful applicant will have significant experience of clinical trials in the NHS or the commercial health research sector. They will also have excellent organisation and communication skills, a good understanding and knowledge of GCP and clinical trial regulations. The employing organisation is the University of Southampton which offers a competitive salary, pension scheme and other benefits. The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract in the first instance with the possibility of an extension. This is advertised as a full time position, though part time may be considered (minimum 0.8 FTE).
