Your opportunity The Faculty of Health is one of Southern Cross University’s largest and most strategically important portfolios, delivering education, research and industry partnerships that have a direct impact on the health workforce and the communities we serve. As Faculty Manager, you will operate as the Executive Dean’s strategic partner. Leading the professional operations of the Faculty while helping shape its future direction, sustainability and growth. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for financial stewardship, organisational performance, workforce capability, operational excellence and enterprise-wide influence. Leading a diverse portfolio of professional services, you will work across teaching, research and engagement activities to ensure the Faculty remains responsive, sustainable and positioned for future opportunities. You will influence decisions at the highest levels of the University, represent the Faculty across senior forums and drive initiatives that strengthen performance, capability and innovation. You will make an impact by: Partnering with the Executive Dean to shape Faculty strategy, performance and long-term sustainability Leading financial planning, resource allocation and commercial initiatives across a significant Faculty portfolio Leading and developing a multi-layered professional leadership team, building capability and organisational effectiveness Driving transformation initiatives, new operating models and continuous improvement across Faculty operations Providing leadership on risk, governance, accreditation and operational priorities while influencing broader University decision making What you will bring You are a strategic and commercially astute leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term thinking. You understand how complex organisations work and can translate strategy into action while building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. You bring a collaborative leadership style, strong business acumen and the ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity and change. Equally comfortable discussing financial performance, workforce planning, organisational risk or strategic opportunities, you thrive in environments that require influence, sound judgement and enterprise thinking.  To succeed in this role, you will also need: Significant senior leadership experience within complex health, higher education or similarly regulated environments Demonstrated success leading large operational portfolios, including financial management, workforce planning and organisational performance Experience leading and developing senior professional teams with complex organisational structures Strong commercial, analytical and strategic capabilities, including the ability to identify opportunities and influence executive decision making Proven ability to lead transformation, manage risk and deliver outcomes in dynamic and evolving environments Postgraduate qualifications in business, health management or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with experience operating within large, multi-site organisations and complex stakeholder environments.   Why Southern Cross University SCU is proudly a regional university, young, small and vibrant. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities HEW Level 10. The base salary ranges from $142,445 - $161,055 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $188,434.
