The School of Graduate Studies (GS) is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University’s strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education. The GS is expanding its scope of research and knowledge transfer programmes in promoting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and development projects related to Policy Studies and Public Management, Urban Governance, Health Studies, and International Higher Education Policy and Management. Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:


	Undertaking course planning and development;
	Undertaking course coordination, assessments and classroom teaching in related disciplines/areas;
	Undertaking/engaging in scholarly activities/academic research and participating in School/University activities and administration; and
	Performing any duties assigned by the Dean.


Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: 


	An earned Master degree in Life Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Biostatistics, Microbiology, Biomedical, Psychology or a related discipline;
	A strong commitment to teaching;
	At least 5 years’ of relevant teaching/professional experience, preferably in the areas of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, psychology and biostatistics;
	Track record in relevant research areas where appropriate;
	Excellent communication skills; and Proficiency in written and spoken English.

About the Role

We are seeking a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to join the Mindful Centre for Training and Research in Developmental Health within the Department of Psychiatry.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the autism research program at Mindful, which has a strong history of collaboration with the Department of Health in mental health workforce initiatives around autism training and service delivery. The role provides an opportunity to influence future autism service delivery in Victoria.

Candidates with lived and living experience of autism are encouraged to apply, reflecting Mindful's commitment to a neurodivergent supportive work environment that values innovation, teamwork, and inclusion. Experience in autism research, or clinical experience working within the Victorian public mental health sector will be highly regarded.

Your responsibilities will include:


	Lead and design research activities for the Mindful Autism Program.
	Design quantitative and qualitative research to capture the experience of stakeholders.
	Evaluation and understand impact of Mindful’s autism training in a workforce capacity.


Who We Are Looking For

Research Fellow:

You will possess a PhD, or be working towards one, or hold an Honours or Masters qualification in a relevant discipline, combined with a record of research publications and presentations.

With experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, you will demonstrate the ability to collaboratively engage with various stakeholders in health services and academia, particularly within mental health and autism sectors.

Experience in the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies, will be beneficial.

Your advanced communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively build and maintain established stakeholder relationships.  You will have the capacity to work both independently and as a supportive team member

Senior Research Fellow:

In addition to the Research Fellow requirements above, you must hold a PhD in a field relevant to public health, psychology, allied health, social work, medicine, or nursing, coupled with a strong record of research excellence, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Your experience will include preparing and successfully securing funding through research proposals to external bodies, and you will have a demonstrated ability to manage significant research objectives and programs effectively.

Research Assistant Professor
Division of Artificial Intelligence

The Division is looking for experienced Research Assistant Professor who will (i) carry out research and submit papers to top journals in the field of large language models. Additionally, the appointee will be responsible for submitting grant proposals to various funding bodies. Furthermore, the appointee will have the opportunity to organize conferences, seminars, reading groups, workshops, and other related research activities; (ii) play a central role in the daily operation of the upcoming new Taught Postgraduate programme(s) offered by the Division of Artificial Intelligence. The teaching load will be two courses per year, distributed according to the needs of the Institute and upon mutual agreement. English will be the medium of instruction. The appointee will also be required to supervise students’ projects or thesis; and (iii) perform administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Dean (i.e., Person-in-Charge of the Division of Artificial Intelligence).

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline; (ii) a good command of both English and Chinese; (iii) a strong publication record in the top-tier journals/conferences in the relevant field; and (iv) experience in developing external competitive research proposals. Candidates with a good teaching record will be an advantage.
