They contribute to their discipline locally and nationally, participate in professional activities, and are expected to demonstrate and maintain teaching excellence, as shown by student and peer feedback and other evidence-based measures. Key teaching responsibilities include: applying evidence-based approaches to develop and assess teaching initiatives; contributing to the university’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning by sharing best practices; coordinating and teaching subjects to ensure engaging, high-quality student experiences across various delivery modes; providing constructive and timely student feedback; participating in innovative curriculum design and review, especially for online and blended learning; and prioritising the integration of employability skills into the curriculum. Primary teaching duties for the second position will also include courses in the department's introductory sequence (General Chemistry, Methods of Chemical Analysis) and the upper-level Instrumental Analysis course. The successful candidates are also expected to develop research programs in biological chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, or analytical chemistry that have significant undergraduate student involvement.
