Sabratha University was established in 2015, making it one of the newer public institutions of higher education in Libya.
The university is located in Sabratha, a historic city on Libya’s Mediterranean coast renowned for its archaeological significance as a major city of the ancient Roman province of Tripolitania.
Sabratha University is composed of several faculties, including arts and humanities, sciences, engineering, economics and management, law, and education. These faculties provide a wide range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supported by research initiatives and community engagement projects.
Internationally, Sabratha University has begun establishing partnerships with institutions across the region and beyond, promoting academic mobility, joint research, and collaborative projects.
