The group’s experimental research spans research at the interface with biology - biological-physics, bio nanotechnology and synthetic biology - experimental soft matter physics with a sustainability focus. A good communicator, working well as part of a team but also able to work independently, managing their own time and priorities An understanding of relevant Health & Safety matters and requirements Good organisational skills, particularly when working in a laboratory Some experience of handling chemical and biological agents Some experience of handling cryogens and gases Willingness and aptitude to broaden skills to cover for technical colleagues in their specialist areas during periods of absence.
