You will be providing a range of technical and laboratory support including the preparation and breakdown of classes, assistance during classes, safe operation of specialised equipment, maintenance of inventories and assistance with audit and risk management processes. This position has a specialised focus and as such requires skills, qualifications and experience in Nursing, Paramedicine or Allied Health. As part of this recruitment, a pre-employment functional screening is required. Liverpool John Moores University is looking to recruit a Training Coordinator to support its Natural Capital Hub. We are looking for applicants who have experience in coordinating training activities and working with multiple cross sector stakeholders. The role will support Natural Capital Hub to deliver the National Lottery Heritage Fund funded Nature Towns and Cities project Bigger Better More Joined Up, Our Nature Our LCR. The project is led by the LCR Combined Authority. The Natural Capital Hub is a research and knowledge exchange group working to deliver solutions for embedding natural capital approaches. The Hub works with a range of partners including government departments and agencies, local government, landowners, and conservation organisations on nationally and regionally significant projects. The Hub is a key part of the Universities' pan university institute Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS). The Natural Capital Hub Training Coordinator support the LJMU Natural Capital Hub’s contribution to the Liverpool City Region's Nature Towns and City Project - Bigger Better, More Joined Up, Our Nature, Our LCR. Through the project LJMU’s Natural Capital Hub aim to support capacity building to support an integrated and cross sector approach to nature recovery. You will support the coordination, design, and delivery of training and learning activities that enhance understanding and application of natural capital, integrated nature recovery and engagement with nature. Working closely with partners and project stakeholders, the Training Coordinator will support the development of training materials, organise workshops and events, and support the effective transfer of knowledge across the region. You will also help to identify accreditation and resource opportunities and support development of sustainable models for training. The role requires excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, alongside an enthusiasm for supporting skills development and promoting environmental resilience. Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist position under the supervision of Prof. Qurrat-Ul-Ain Nadeem in the NextG Wireless Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on the modeling, design, and performance analysis of emerging massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) architectures for next-generation wireless communications systems. The candidate will investigate advanced MIMO paradigms, including continuous aperture MIMO, pre-optimized MIMO arrays, flexible intelligent metasurfaces, and tri-hybrid MIMO systems, with a particular emphasis on near-field propagation regimes relevant to ultra-massive MIMO systems. The candidate is expected to develop physically-consistent narrowband and wideband signal models for these frameworks, and use them to analyze key performance indicators such as achievable rates, coverage, and energy efficiency, as well as optimize relevant system parameters. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, telecommunications, or related field, with at least 3 years of research experience (not including the years to obtain the PhD). Other requirements include: Proven track record of publications in IEEE Communications Society’s and IEEE Signal Processing Society’s journals and conferences. Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, machine learning, and optimization theory. Strong verbal and written skills in English. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and capacity to pursue independent research as well as mentor graduate students. In addition to the above qualifications, it is desirable that the applicants have: Research background in one or more of the following areas: massive MIMO, near-field propagation, channel estimation. Experience working with software defined radios and experimental testbeds for wireless communications systems. The appointee will contribute to the undergraduate and master’s nursing programmes in teaching as well as academic and departmental administrative duties.
