Project Manager (at the rank of Research Officer / Assistant Research Officer) in the Department of Psychology (Ref.:534407) (to commence in April 2026, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer and 15% for Research Officer, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability). Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will play a key role in a large-scale, mental health and well-being project for primary schools in Hong Kong, under the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences. The appointee will engage in overall planning, coordination, implementation, administration and management of the Project, and ensuring high-quality delivery in line with the project’s objectives, timeline, and funder requirements, with major tasks including: monitoring research project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely, professional implementation. acting as a secretary/liaison person in major meetings, including research and administrative meetings. compiling academic and non-academic reports. managing research project budget and resources. leading and coordinating with research and administrative team. organizing and supporting public education, dissemination, and engagement activities related to mental health and well-being. developing and executing the annual promotion and publicity plan. any other duties as assigned. Requirements The appointee should possess: a Master’s degree or above, in Social Sciences, Management, Administration, or a related discipline. at least 7 years’ relevant work and supervisory experience. a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese & Putonghua). IT proficiency (including MS Word and MS Excel). good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. decision-making, problem-solving, and time-management abilities. ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment. ability to handle multiple tasks and be attentive to details under tight deadlines. passionate about education, child and adolescent mental health, or community-based projects. experience in coordination and implementation of community/education projects, public-sector–funded projects, or charitable foundations will be an advantage. The appointment (at the rank of Research Officer or Assistant Research Officer) will be offered based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. Suitably qualified applicants may be considered for direct tenure. The Faculty of Law is the longest-established law school in Hong Kong. It plays a leading role in legal education in Hong Kong and Asia through its various undergraduate, research, postgraduate, and taught postgraduate programmes covering a wide range of legal subject areas. It is the largest and oldest legal research and law teaching institution in Hong Kong, currently consisting of over 80 teaching members and over 2,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Applicants should normally have a first degree in Law (e.g., LLB, BA(Jurisprudence) and JD) and an additional postgraduate degree in Law (e.g., LLM, PhD, D Phil and SJD).
