Description NYU Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for a full-time contract faculty position in the Dvision of Arts and Humanities to teach in the Division and in the Interactive Media program to begin potentially as early as Fall 2026. The position is a renewable appointment based on curricular demand and performance. The Interactive Media program is a Bachelor of Arts major at NYUAD that combines art, interaction design, communications, computer science, engineering, and critique. While the program is formally housed in the University’s Arts and Humanities Division, it is a multidisciplinary major and has broad reach across the University. The mission of the program is to foster the creative use of emerging technologies for research, communication, and expression, while advancing a deep engagement with theoretical frameworks and critical discourse in Interactive Media. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that connects artistic practice with intellectual inquiry and social responsibility. Arts Professors are active practitioners and creative and performing artists who have demonstrated expertise, excellence and experience in their particular professional domains and bring these qualifications to bear in their teaching. Arts Professors are expected to conduct research, defined as scholarly, creative and professional activities, and are expected to bring that research to bear in their teaching, and to provide service to NYUAD. Appointees must be experienced or highly knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have had experience in curriculum development. The successful candidate will have an expansive background in scholarship and the arts that prepares them to contribute to the divisions’ research initiative and propose a wide variety of courses to students in our established liberal arts undergraduate programs and Masters of Fine Arts, and upcoming “Global Crossroads” MA and Ph.D. programs. The Interactive Media program is integrated into the NYUAD liberal arts experience and is interested in faculty who consider teaching an extension of their research. About EPrints Services As a result of our continued success, we are hiring into a Software Engineering / Customer Support role. We primarily develop and maintain Web-based repository services for a wide variety of both education and commercial organisations all over the World. At our core is an open source repository platform, EPrints, which provides a flexible way to configure operations concerning data capture, structure and presentation, and a range of services that allow content to be accessed in a variety of ways. We support our many customers by maintaining our own Linux based virtual hosting infrastructure. We are a well established small Enterprise team based in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. About You As part of the team, you will take responsibility for the development and support of customer focused projects, for both EPrints systems and more varied engineering activities. These typically relate to open access, open data, digital education, content management and systems integrations. All projects require some level of design, programming, testing, project management, and customer support. It is essential you have: Proven industrial experience and / or  PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Computer Science or related discipline. About the role:  The Waste & Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the effective management of waste and resources across King’s College London, including research and other hazardous or specialist waste streams. Sitting within the Sustainability Team in Estates & Facilities, this position is central to ensuring that King’s meets its legal obligations and ISO 14001 requirements while driving continual improvement in waste and resource practices. Reporting to the Sustainability Operations Manager, the postholder acts as the first point of contact for waste-related queries and provides operational advice to stakeholders across all campuses. You will maintain oversight of the waste budget, including forecasting, invoice validation, and reporting, ensuring cost-effective and transparent management of waste services. The role also involves maintaining accurate data inputs into a central Power BI system and interpreting complex datasets to inform decision-making and performance monitoring. Engagement and communication are key aspects of this role. You will attend regular user group and waste review meetings, deliver training tailored to different audiences, and collaborate on campaigns that promote best practice and behavioural change. The Waste & Resource Coordinator also represents King’s in sector networks, strengthening our profile and learning from industry developments. Compliance is a critical responsibility.
