Nnamdi Azikiwe University is located in Awka, the capital city of Anambra State, Nigeria. Established in 1991, the university has multiple campuses in Awka, Nnewi, Agulu and Ifite-Ogwuari in Ayamelum local government area. As a federal university, it is accredited by the National Universities Commission and named after Nnamdi Azikiwe, a renowned Nigerian statesman and political leader who served as the first President of Nigeria until 1966. The university has a total of 57 departments spread across 14 faculties including the faculties of agriculture, arts, basic medical sciences, biosciences, education, engineering, environmental sciences, health sciences and technology, law, management sciences, medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, physical sciences and social sciences. There are also a number of research centres at the university including the centre for oncology research, the centre for sustainable development and the centre for water resource research.

Full time fixed term for 12 months at Camperdown Campus Opportunity to join a pioneering research program focused on digital innovation, quantum-enhanced modelling, and resilient infrastructure systems Base Salary Level A, $117,936 - $125,896 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney is a leading hub for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of engineering, systems thinking, and digital infrastructure innovation. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Level A) to join a new research initiative focused on next generation digital twin capability for complex urban and infrastructure and urban systems. Working under the supervision of Professor David Levinson, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of hybrid quantum-classical modelling approaches that support improved analysis, simulation, optimisation, and decision making under uncertainty. The role will suit a researcher with strong technical capability in quantum computing, data-driven modelling, infrastructure systems, computational optimisation, simulation, probabilistic methods, or related areas. This project is part of an ambitious research program across the Schools of Civil Engineering and Project Management. The appointee will conduct original research, contribute to prototype development, prepare high-quality publications, work collaboratively across engineering and related disciplines, and support engagement with academic, government, industry, and community stakeholders. The position offers a strong opportunity for career development, interdisciplinary collaboration, grant development, research translation, and engagement with a growing research program in resilient, intelligent, and data-informed infrastructure systems. The Role and the Department Durham Chemistry is a thriving centre for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and for world-leading research in the chemical sciences. The Department has a long tradition of interdisciplinary research which covers a wide scientific spectrum, from the development of bioactive probes through to the theory and computational study of molecular interactions. Research in the area of biological chemistry is well supported by state-of-the-art facilities located within the Department The Molecular Sciences for Medicine (MoSMed) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) programme is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) from 2019-2027. The programme is delivered by Durham University in partnership with Newcastle University. It harnesses Durham's expertise in physical sciences with Newcastle's incisive biomedical approach to provide a unique offering, both scientifically and for the student experience. The student training programme aims to ensure the next generation of UK researchers are equipped with the specialist skills required for working at the interface between molecular sciences and medicine. The CDT features over 20 biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and related sector partners from the UK and beyond. The Department of Chemistry is looking to recruit a 0.8 FTE MoSMed CDT Manager. The post holder will provide administrative support to the academic team as well as scientific support to the finishing cohort. This will include monitoring student progress, maintaining metrics on student performance; coordination of industrial placements and organisation of the 2027 conference in Durham. The role holder will provide student support including resolving queries and providing information on academic and welfare related issues, making referrals to other staff, teams and services where appropriate, escalating more specialist and complex queries or issues, as required. In addition, the successful candidate will work with the MoSMed CDT technician to support students' projects when feasible. Working closely with counterparts at Newcastle University the role holder will be responsible for collating and reporting data required by the programme sponsors, including financial/budgetary data ensuring that accurate and up to date financial records are maintained and expenditure meets compliance criteria.
