Established in 2000, the Niger Delta University is a government-funded university located on Wilberforce Island.

It offers degree programmes across 12 faculties: agriculture, arts, basic medical sciences, clinical sciences, education, engineering, environmental sciences, law, management sciences, nursing, pharmacy, science, social sciences, and general studies.

There are three campuses at the Niger Delta University, the main campus and the college of health sciences campus, both located on Wilberforce Island, and a satellite campus housing the faculty of law in Yenagoa.

The focus of our research is purification,expession and characterisation of a metalloprotein. The employment duration is 3 years. Interview Date: in the week commencing 26 January 2026 Project summary An exciting opportunity is available to join the laboratories of Dr Salah Mansour and Dr Ali Roghanian at the University of Southampton. We are seeking a collaborative and motivated postdoctoral scientist to work on our Blood Cancer UK-funded programme developing next-generation, off-the-shelf immunotherapies for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). This three-year project will harness cytotoxic invariant Natural Killer T (iNKT) cells for precision targeting of AML, an aggressive leukaemia with poor survival outcomes. Building on strong preliminary data, it combines mechanistic and translational immunology with bespoke in vivo models to define and exploit therapeutically relevant subsets. The Research Fellow will lead studies on cytotoxic T cell mechanisms, oversee preclinical validation, and advance CAR-iNKT platforms optimised for AML immunotherapy. The role bridges basic and translational research and suits a creative scientist with interests in tumour immunology, T cell engineering, and immunotherapy. You will join a multidisciplinary team spanning immunology, and bioinformatics, with access to advanced flow cytometry, 10X Genomics, in vivo imaging platforms. Key responsibilities To work within the Mansour and Roghanian labs, and with collaborators at Southampton and beyond. To design, conduct, and analyse in vitro and in vivo immunology experiments. To lead the optimisation and functional assessment of human T cells and CAR T cells. To liaise and coordinate between project collaborators and core facilities. To record analyses accurately and present results at group meetings, national, and international conferences. To contribute to dissemination of findings through publications and grant applications. To supervise and support junior researchers and students. Any other duties appropriate to the scope and grade of the post. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to lead their own projects, collaborate on others, and guide PhD and Master’s students. Essential qualifications, experience and competencies PhD (or near completion) in human T cell immunology, cancer biology, or a related discipline. Strong practical experience with core immunological assays (e.g. FACS, ELISA, T cell assays). Proven competence in the design and execution of experiments using mouse models of cancer. Ability to manage projects to timelines, supervise junior staff, and work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and presentation skills, including at conferences. Desirable Experience with single-cell or bulk sequencing (e.g. 10X Genomics, RNA-seq). Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines and large dataset interpretation. Experience in engineering human T cells, viral transduction, or related approaches. Home Office Personal Licence. The Sari Lauri Research Group is looking for highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher. The start date of the employment is 1st of March 2026 or upon agreement. Employment is two years long with possible continuation. The salary is approximately 3 500 € / month. About Sari Lauri Research Group The Research Laboratory in Synaptic Plasticity and Development, led by Sari Lauri, is affiliated in the Neuroscience Center in the University of Helsinki (see: https://www2.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/synaptic-plasticity-and-development).The research interests are focused on functional maturation of neuronal circuitries in healthy and diseased brain. The topic is investigated at different levels, from molecular mechanisms to behaviour, using animal models and various electrophysiological techniques in combination with optogenetic and chemogenetic tools, local genetic manipulation, histological analysis and behavioural tests. We provide an international, inspiring and supportive research environment with excellent research facilities. The position The Postdoctoral Researcher will work on a project characterizing the effects of kainate-receptors on functional maturation of GABAergic interneurons, focusing on PV and SOM subtypes in the limbic microcircuitries. The physiological significance of the findings will be investigated in the context of early life stress and neurodevelopmental disorders, involving aberrant amygdala dependent behaviors. The selected candidate will perform in vitro (patch clamp) and in vivo electrophysiological recordings, AAV viral infections and advanced data analysis. He/she is also expected to supervise research trainees in the group. About you Applicant is expected to be early career researcher (Ph.D. degree), with background in neuroscience or physiology. Previous experience in in vitro and in vivo electrophysiological techniques (field recordings and whole-cell patch-clamp in vitro; multi-unit activity in vivo), immunocytochemistry, small animal surgery (brain microinjections), behavioural tests and work with transgenic mouse lines will be an asset. Applicant is collaborative, communicative, and comfortable working in an international and multidisciplinary environment. What we offer Position is initially available for two years with possible continuation. The salary will be based on the Finnish university salary system (YPJ), approximately 3 500 € / month, depending on qualifications and performance levels. Description Location Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Description The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated Research engineer to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Chafii on Channel Modeling for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC). Responsibilities: Lead the design, setup, and execution of ISAC channel measurement campaigns across multiple environments, hardware platforms, and frequency bands Develop, validate, and document ISAC channel modeling methodologies tailored to the lab’s hardware/software testbed. Integrate SDRs (e.g., USRPs, RFSoC) and RF front-ends (FR2, FR3, V-band) into end-to-end ISAC demonstrators. Implement and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for joint communication and sensing. Analyze experimental datasets, extract statistical models, and compare findings across environments, hardware, and frequency bands. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and faculty on joint projects, ensuring experimental results support theoretical work. Co-author scientific publications in IEEE journals and conferences, and contribute to open datasets/methodologies for the research community. Requirements: Education: Ph.D. (preferred) or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field. SDR Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDRs (USRP, RFSoC, or equivalent). FPGA programming experience is a plus. Programming Skills: Strong experience with MATLAB and/or Python; experience with C++ for high-performance signal processing is a plus. Experimentation: Proven experience developing wireless prototypes, demonstrators, or proof-of-concept systems. Signal Processing: Solid knowledge of channel estimation, channel sounding, and multipath modeling (channel impulse response, frequency response, MIMO models, AoA, AoD, delay, Doppler, etc). RF Systems: Familiarity with RF front-ends, antennas, calibration, synchronization, and over-the-air testing. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, working with researchers and engineers at different seniority levels. Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills for preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications.
