We broker and facilitate research exchange between University of Sydney researchers and their outside interlocuters via visiting fellowships, exchanges and a range of in-house initiatives designed to build authentic research partnerships that will grow and change to meet the demands of the future. We are seeking a Community Engagement and Programs Officer, specialising in research translation and strategic communication, to join the Centre and collaborate across the Faculty to amplify the Centre’s research impact. In this role, you will shape how the Centre communicates its evidence, insights, and achievements. Working closely with Centre members, University communications teams, and external partners, you will craft clear, compelling, and accessible narratives that promotes the centre’s research and programs. Key responsibilities will be to work with academics, research partners and colleagues across the University to: track and report on the Centre’s work and support continuous improvement in how evidence is communicated and applied support centre researchers in communicating their research via the centre website, social media, white papers and other outputs coordinate activities designed to engage a diverse range of audiences including workshops and events produce targeted materials to engage internal audiences, industry, and general publics. Nursing: Registered nurses render health services to individuals, families, and communities (Singapore Nursing Board Code for Nurses and Midwives 2018). Speech and Language Therapy: Speech and Language Therapy involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy involves assessment and interventions to work or school, self-care, leisure or play, physical environments as well as cognitive, mental and physical components of function to enable individuals affected by physical injury or illness, developmental or learning disabilities, psychosocial dysfunctions or the aging process, to engage in everyday life occupations in order to maximise independent performance of life roles, prevent disability and maintain health (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). The Senior Lecturer (Creative Music Entrepreneurship) plays a key role in advancing teaching, research, and curriculum development in creative music entrepreneurship, cultural leadership, and professional practice. The appointee will help prepare students for diverse and evolving artistic careers by integrating artistic excellence with entrepreneurial thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with the wider cultural and creative industries. The appointee will report to the Head of the Academic Studies in Music and work closely with programme leaders and colleagues across the School. Applicants should have: (a) A recognised degree or equivalent qualification (preferably a doctoral degree) in Music, Arts Management, Cultural Leadership, Creative Industries, or a related discipline; (b) A strong professional background and substantial experience in creative music entrepreneurship, cultural leadership, creative industries, or related areas of professional practice; (c) Normally, a minimum of six years’ experience in teaching entrepreneurship, leadership, or contextual studies at tertiary or conservatoire level; (d) A strong professional network within the creative industries, cultural sector, or artistic entrepreneurship landscape, ideally with international reach; (e) A proven record of teaching excellence across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes; experience with pre-college music education is an advantage; (f) Experience in curriculum design, programme development, and the implementation of innovative pedagogical approaches aligned with contemporary developments in the music and creative sectors; (g) Solid experience in collaborative work across disciplines and cultures, with the ability to contribute to School-wide initiatives and cross-departmental projects; (h) Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate independent studies, portfolio projects, research assignments, and creative or professional-practice outputs; (i) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills; and (j) An excellent command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) is an advantage. TERMS OF APPOINTMENT Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT. Job Requirements Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields from a recognized University. Industry certifications like OSCP, CISSP, or CEH are a plus. Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in security analyst, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity applications. Proven experience as a Certified Security Analyst or in a related role, with a strong understanding of industry best practices, cybersecurity frameworks, IoT Security, OT Security, and Mobile Security. Strong understanding of cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic primitives, protocols, and PQC. Experience with adversarial machine learning techniques and defenses. Clear understanding of information security principles and the cyber technology landscape. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Faculty of Science of the University of Helsinki invites applications for an PROFESSOR OR ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS Position description The call is open for candidates with research expertise in financial mathematics. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated potential for research and leadership at the highest international level, relative to their current career stage. In addition to striving towards excellence in research, the appointee is expected to lead and develop the study track of Insurance and Financial mathematics in the Master’s programme in Mathematics and Statistics (MAST) and to take advantage of national and international funding opportunities to establish and maintain a new research direction and a research group at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Helsinki. Appointments from this call are made at Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track) level. The appointee will also be expected to participate in teaching and development of courses in stochastic analysis and financial mathematics in the master’s program MAST and supervision of master’s theses in the study track of Insurance and Financial mathematics.
