New Uzbekistan University, located in the capital city of Tashkent, was founded in 2021 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The president established a new modern university as the flagship institution of tertiary education in Uzbekistan.
New Uzbekistan University is the first public autonomous university in Uzbekistan.

Teaching and learning
Five Faculties of NUU provide research based learning with high quality of academic knowledge in a range of subjects across the Engineering, Management, Computing, Humanities, Mathematics and Natural Sciences. All undergraduate programs are taught entirely in English and internationally standardized. The Lecturer is a member of the Department of General Education and delivers English-medium instruction primarily for Academic Communication Skills to first-year undergraduates across STEM and Humanities/Social Sciences cohorts. The role provides EAP/ESP-based teaching to develop seminar participation, presentations, discussion of readings, and short academic texts using appropriate academic language (vocabulary and register) and ethical source use. The Lecturer implements shared assessments and interactive pedagogy, adapts tasks and materials for different disciplinary contexts, localizes content for the Uzbekistani setting, and may teach additional General Education courses relevant to academic communication and student success, subject to departmental needs and qualifications.
