New Uzbekistan University, located in the capital city of Tashkent, was founded in 2021 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The president established a new modern university as the flagship institution of tertiary education in Uzbekistan.         

New Uzbekistan University is the first public autonomous university in Uzbekistan.

It is a world-class university with a mission to develop top talents across the country and around the world to nurture future leaders and innovators. NewUU is dedicated to encouraging the best academic and professional practices through an integrated multi-disciplinary curriculum and research.         

Our highly qualified faculty members and staff are a living proof of great quality and expertise.

Students are the center of academic life at NUU. Programs and facilities have been carefully designed to promote the students’ holistic growth and the discovery of their talents.  

Teaching and learning  

Five Faculties of NUU provide research based learning with high quality of academic knowledge in a range of subjects across the EngineeringManagementComputingHumanitiesMathematics and Natural Sciences. Studying these disciplines can help students develop critical skills, expand their knowledge base, and prepare for successful careers in a variety of industries.

All undergraduate programs are taught entirely in English and internationally standardized. NUU cooperates with leading universities in this sphere in particular, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology of the USA, for the development of human skills, and with the Technical University of Munich, Germany, for the development of technical skills.

The Department of Education and English at New Uzbekistan University is inviting applications for several positions at the assistant or associate professor level in the fields of Applied Linguistics, or TESOL, TEFL. We welcome candidates specializing in TESOL, or Digital Humanities. We seek highly qualified individuals who are committed to a career in research and teaching. The appointments will begin in August 2026. Candidates for an assistant professor position are required to hold a Ph.D. in English or a closely related field before the start of the appointment. Candidates for an associate professor position should demonstrate a proven research record in related disciplines and an interest in institution building. Preferred candidates will have: PhD in a relevant field  from a reputed University Native-level English proficiency (e.g., native speaker or demonstrably equivalent proficiency in academic and professional contexts) Experience in international or cross-cultural higher education settings Job is full time, in Tashkent.

Job Description: The School of Computing at New Uzbekistan University (NewUU) invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks. We welcome candidates from all areas of Computer Science, with particular interest in: Artificial Intelligence Cybersecurity Robotics Software Engineering Our faculty will teach a maximum of three classes per year, in a 2+1 format, or a maximum of 12 hours per week, which might be reduced based on research projects, field service, and administrative load. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all academic, administrative, and financial aspects of the Medical School.
