About us The Department of Informatics is looking to appoint a Reader in Computer Vision Education. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow our department and realise our vision of a diverse, inclusive and innovative department of Informatics at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK. As we continue to grow and strengthen our department, we are seeking to appoint a Reader in the area of computer vision education. We welcome applications from candidates who have an international profile in research in any of the following areas: image classification and object detection, semantic segmentation, video analysis and action recognition, scene understanding, medical image analysis, self-supervised and unsupervised learning for vision, vision-based robotics and autonomous systems, and generative models for image synthesis and enhancement. We would also be interested in applicants who are working in emerging areas in the field, including vision transformers, explainable AI for vision, and privacy-preserving computer vision. About the role Make significant contributions to the teaching, examining and project supervision of students in the Department of Informatics. Deliver an excellent student experience through innovative teaching and assessment methods for both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, in core computer science and a specialism in computer science or artificial intelligence. Undertake a self-directed programme of scholarship in cybersecurity education at a level commensurate with current international standard.
