Scholarships

International candidates are welcome to apply to study at NU. There are merit-based Abay Kunanbayev scholarships for top international candidates recommended by the admissions committee of each school. This scholarship covers the tuition fee, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend.

Student Clubs

Nazarbayev University is home to a vibrant student community supported by 120 active clubs in various directions. These clubs provide students with opportunities to explore their passions, develop both soft and hard skills, and create lasting memories.

Clubs at NU are categorized into four key areas:

• Academic and Professional

Provide workshops, seminars, and networking events while providing mentorship and career resources to help students prepare for future academic or professional paths.

• Art, Entertainment, and Culture

Provide platforms for students to express creativity through visual arts, theater, music, and literature, organizing exhibitions, performances, and workshops that promote cultural appreciation and enrich campus life.

• Sport and Dance

Offer students the chance to participate in a variety of sports (basketball, football, volleyball) and dance styles (Kazakh, hip-hop, contemporary, k-pop), with access to specialized facilities, coaching, and regular practice, fostering skill development and teamwork.

The Athletic and Sport Centers invite students to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. Featuring a professional-grade swimming pool, fitness rooms, gym, and courts for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, it promotes healthy lifestyle values. Daily, 300-400 students utilize these spaces to stay active and maintain physical activity.

Dormitory Facilities

Residential life at NU blends comfort with community. The dorms accommodate 94.5% of students who need housing, offering the next options: Two-, three-, and four-bedded rooms; Family apartments for students with children; PhD student /Residency apartments.

The University Health Center
