Founded in 2008, Mulungushi University is the youngest of the three public universities in Zambia. It is made up of three campuses; the Great North Road Campus, The Kabwe Town Campus and the Livingstone Medical School located inside Livingstone General Hospital. The university offers 118 programmes in agriculture and natural resources, social science, business studies, engineering and technology, education, medicine and health sciences. Programmes are offered in person and through distance education. The Dean of Students Office is made up of several departments: administration, career guidance, counselling, sport and recreation and the catering unit. Students can apply for accommodation once they accept their place at the university. The university provides student and staff with several sport activities on campus including, soccer, badminton, basketball, judo, flexibility and chess. In addition to the physical activities, students also have access to debate, theatre, beauty pageants and other cultural events.

Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplishedAssociate Professor in Data Science / Statistics to join our growing academic team at the University’s Mumbai Enterprise Campus (MEC), a flagship transnational education initiative of the University of Bristol set to open its doors in 2026, coinciding with the University’s 150th anniversary. The role will lead on curriculum and research development, mentor junior faculty, and strengthen the University’s academic reputation through teaching, innovation, high-impact research and external engagement. The role will report to the Mumbai Enterprise Campus Associate Dean and have dotted lines reporting to and collaborating with the Head of School of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science and Engineering (S&E), and other relevant University senior leaders. This senior-level position is ideal for candidates with a strong academic profile, proven research excellence, and leadership capabilities within higher education. Key Responsibilities Leadership, Culture, and Engagement Provide distinguished academic leadership and operational capacity in both teaching and research within mathematical statistics or data science fostering an environment of scholarly excellence. Represent the university at national and international academic and professional forums, enhancing its visibility and reputation. Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and government agencies to support research initiatives and enrich the learning environment. Contribute substantively to departmental governance, administration, and operational delivery in close collaboration with senior leadership. Develop, coordinate, and deliver advanced undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas ranging from mathematical statistics and machine learning to coding and algorithmics. Mentor junior and early-career faculty members, actively participating in their professional development and performance evaluation processes. Work collaboratively with Professional Services partners to deliver delegated administrative and governance duties. Teaching Play a pivotal role in curriculum development and contextualisation, programme accreditation, programme enhancement and the maintenance of quality assurance standards within the university. Create a nurturing environment for excellence across the whole education offer. Promote innovative teaching strategies that improve student experience, transferable skills creation and employability prospects. Research Maintain a sustained record of high-quality outputs in excellent, peer-reviewed academic publications or in other recognised  discipline specific channels, actively contributing to the international discourse in mathematical statistics and data science. Initiate, lead, and secure funding for research projects with significant potential to contribute to scholarly knowledge and societal advancement. Provide support for other academic disciplines and interdisciplinary opportunities within the MEC. Ensure research strengths are matched and leveraged to develop teaching excellence and integrated in MEC programme offerings. Where applicable, supervise and mentor doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate research projects, ensuring the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity. Essential Criteria A completed PhD in mathematical statistics and data science. Significant academic experience, including substantial post-PhD teaching and research achievements Proven academic leadership experience in teaching (e.g., programme coordination, research leadership, or departmental roles). Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and academic mentorship. Strong publication record in highly ranked peer-reviewed international publications, or in recognised equivalent discipline-specific channels, and ability to contribute to the school’s strategic research ambition to address global/societal challenges of our time. Evidence of excellent organisational and administrative skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative leadership skills. Job Description COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position: Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Chinese Language and Literature (25260671) We are seeking a committed and qualified Lecturer II/Assistant Lecturer to join our academic team.  Responsibilities: Teach courses in Chinese classical literature and related cultural studies; Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement; Engage in student mentoring and academic advising; and Support departmental activities and institutional initiatives.  Requirements: Recognised bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chinese Language and Literature (PhD preferred); Proven teaching experience at tertiary level; Ability to deliver lectures in Cantonese, particularly in the areas of Chinese classical literature and/or culture; and Proficiency in English and Putonghua for communication. Our School is part of The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, which has a ‘One Health’ ethos that promotes understanding of a ‘whole society’ approach to health and builds on our aims to develop truly interprofessional training. The role We are seeking motivated and collaborative individuals to join our team in delivering high-quality, reliable, and valid assessments within our undergraduate medical programme. We have three part-time 0.5 FTE posts available, each with a dedicated focus on Year 2, Year 3, or Year 4 of the Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) course.  Working closely with the relevant Year Lead and the Director of Assessment, successful candidates will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative formative and summative assessments, drawing on contemporary assessment theory and evidence-based methods, including knowledge tests, OSCEs, workplace-based assessments, and professional portfolios. The role includes involvement in the design and delivery of assessments across the programme. All postholders will contribute to teaching across a range of formats, including large and small group teaching, case-based learning, and clinical and communication skills sessions, as well as supporting student electives and progression. In addition, successful candidates will provide academic support through group and one-to-one engagement, contribute to standard setting, assessment design, and OSCE examining, and support admissions processes. There will also be opportunities to deputise for Year Leads and contribute to curriculum development, assessment governance, and quality assurance activities. These roles are integral to the continued success and development of the programme, reporting ultimately to the Dean of the Medical School. These roles will be offered at either Lecturer A or B level depending on your experience (see job profiles below for further details). The full-time equivalent salary for Lecturer A starts from £37,694 and Lecturer B starts from £47,389 (pro rata for 0.5 FTE). There may be scope for the roles to be clinical academic positions with a salary up to £69,488 (pro rata for 0.5 FTE).
