(pro-rata) Location: Yolngu – Nhulunbuy View Position Description Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.  We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health. Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce.  All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community. About the Role The Senior Lecturer in Remote Medicine will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the Northern Territory Medical Program (NTMP). This position focuses on designing and implementing remote health experiences, supervising medical students in primary care settings, and fostering innovative teaching practices. Drawing on extensive clinical expertise, the role also involves mentoring clinical supervisors, developing curricula, and building partnerships to enhance student success and graduate employability. Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of Remote Medicine teaching across NTMP, including clinical skills training and simulation. Supervise and assess Year 3 and 4 medical students and electives during extended remote placements. Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement of courses. Build and maintain partnerships with health services and stakeholders to support work-integrated learning and remote health initiatives. About You You are an experienced medical educator with a passion for remote health and a commitment to innovative teaching. You bring clinical expertise, strong leadership in curriculum development, and the ability to mentor students and supervisors. Your collaborative approach and understanding of rural and Aboriginal health contexts will help shape the next generation of doctors. Doctorate in a relevant field (or equivalent clinical standing) and current AHPRA registration. Proven excellence in tertiary-level teaching, including clinical and simulation settings. Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive, public university in the state of New Jersey that is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The College of Business and Public Management is an AACSB-accredited business school. Wenzhou is one of the most vibrant and economically advanced developed cities on China’s East Coast, located one hour by plane and three hours by high-speed train from Shanghai.
