Marwadi University is a private university located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. It was established in 2016 by the Marwadi Education Foundation through the Gujarat Private Universities Amendment Act 2016. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral courses in the fields of commerce, engineering management, science, computer applications, law, pharmacy, and architecture. There is opportunity for students to apply for industry placements and the university also offers an international exchange program. This encourages students to experience several cultures and widen their horizons during their university experience. The modern campus is set over 32 acres, offering state-of-the-art facilities, such as a library, amphitheatre, technology centre, several laboratories, a sports complex, outdoor sporting facilities and a food plaza. There is separate student accommodation for males and females, which are complemented with mess areas, sports facilities, guest rooms, laundry areas, medical centres and Wi-Fi facilities. There are excellent transport links, such as Rajkot local airport, which is less than 30 minutes away and the train station is a short 20-minute bus ride. The university also runs a daily bus shuttle service to Rajkot. This allows students to explore the local surroundings during their free time. There is a wealth of opportunity to explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of Rajkot, one of Gujarat’s key tourist spots. It is a small but vibrant city, where students can enjoy authentic Gujarat cuisine, browse the local markets, have fun at Krishna Water Park, hike up Osam Hill or visit the Aji Dam.

Roles & Responsibilities: Working as part of a team responsible for small installation works and supporting operational maintenance of University premises, you will be undertaking planned projects and reactive work on various systems to support the University’s infrastructure and environmental control systems across all our premises, ensuring that they are maintained and installed in a safe, efficient, and functional order. Ensure failing plant or assets are reported to the Helpdesk and plant areas are maintained in good condition. Deliver an effective and timely response to maintenance demands across the University in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure compliance with all University Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures, and take an active part in the development of these policies Ensure the use of equipment and materials in delivery of maintenance services are appropriate and meet current legislative standards. Keep up to date with related legislation and developments, attending courses and passing all necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation. Carry out multi-skilled tasks, where relevant, such as (but not restricted to) mechanical isolation and fault finding, electrical isolations, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance and small works. Complete all administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including the completion of work records, timesheets, stores issues, estimates and health & safety records. Utilise Building Logbook to record all maintenance visits and any relevant defective information and repairs. All defects to be reported immediately to the help desk for further action. The Faculty of Dentistry is the only dental school in Hong Kong and the only one in Greater China that uses English as the medium of instruction. The high quality of the Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, research excellence and clinical/professional services have attained global recognition, as evidenced by the Faculty’s global rankings among the top three by the QS World University Rankings by Subject for nine out of the past eleven years (2015-2025). The Faculty’s strategic research themes include Clinical Artificial Intelligence, Craniofacial Regeneration, Microbiome Innovation, Oral Cancer, and Population Oral Health. The Faculty also plays an important role in public and professional education through its knowledge exchange (KE) activities as well as in oral health research and promotions in international, regional and local communities. Applicants should possess a Dental Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a Dental Master’s degree relevant to General Dentistry, with preference given to those holding a PhD degree. Job Purpose The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum. Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry. In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT Key Responsibilities Design and teach labs & practice modules Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry. Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research. Ensure safety in labs Job Requirements SNB-valid Full Practicing Certificate (Registered Nurse). A degree in Nursing from a recognised University. Possessing a Master’s degree, PhD degree and relevant certifications will be an added advantage. Have at least 10 years of clinical nursing experience in healthcare settings. Extensive experience and knowledge of nursing skills and industry practices to bring industry perspectives to SIT. Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems. Experience in research projects and publications will be an added advantage. Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment. Experience in simulation education will be an added advantage. Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs. Possessing industrial certifications in relevant areas will be an added advantage (e.g., simulation training) Possession of a good network of relationships with industry partners in hospitals, community, and ILTC sectors will be an added advantage.
