Continuing Full Time Position based at Bundoora and Alfred Clinical Health School, Alfred Hospital Salary level B starting from $114,855 plus 17% superannuation  About the position The School of Nursing and Midwifery undertakes a wide range of teaching and research programs in Nursing, Midwifery, Maternal, Family and Child Health, Ageing and Aged Care, Health Service Design, Health and Wellbeing, Time Critical Nursing, Mental Health and Workforce. These interconnected programs combine to form Centres of Excellence based within our clinical networks and Research Centres. The School of Nursing and Midwifery has immersed its curricula and research within a range of clinical contexts. The School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research programs. An essential element is the establishment of Clinical Schools based at Alfred Health, Austin Health, Northern Health and Melbourne Health networks. The Clinical Schools enable students direct access to expert clinicians and clinical services, provide a rich environment for clinically relevant research and practice change and facilitate opportunities for staff to undertake clinical practice. Bachelor of Nursing students are based at an allocated clinical school for the third year of the program, with all relevant theory and clinical placements provided within clinical school networks. Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery students are also placed at the Women’s and Mercy Hospitals.  The School has a long established national and international reputation in nursing and midwifery research and education and the Clinical Schools provide opportunities for educational innovations, including simulation and clinician facilitated student supervision. Department of Economics and Management of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry invites applications for a Doctoral researcher, ENERPOL MSCA Doctoral Network. Within the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA), University of Helsinki is offering a PhD fellowship for a Doctoral Candidate (DC), starting 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible hereafter. A position is for 36 months and is funded by the ENERPOL MSCA Doctoral Network. ENERPOL is a European research and training network (MSCA Doctoral Network) exploring the role of households in the green energy transition. It addresses challenges such as volatile energy prices, inequality, and household risk exposure, while developing policy-relevant insights for fair and efficient energy systems. The doctoral position is based at the Department of Economics and Management, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Helsinki. The Doctoral researcher will be supervised by Professor Lassi Ahlvik and be located in the group of environmental and resource economics. Position: PhD Project - “Energy-related household inequality and energy poverty”  The project uses Finnish household-level electricity data to study the effect of energy prices on electricity consumption and other behavioral outcomes. The project specifically aims to studying these effects by different household-level background characteristics, such as income levels or household types. Main supervisor: Professor Lassi Ahlvik (lassi.ahlvik@helsinki.fi) Job description Your key tasks as a Doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Management are to: Carrying through an independent research project under supervision. Description The newly established NYUAD Wireless Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) to engage in cutting-edge research on the development of omni-band wireless systems for 6G and beyond. The PDA will be jointly supervised by Elza Erkip, Qurrat-Ul-Ain Nadeem and Murat Uysal. Principal Responsibilities The PDA will conduct research on the physical layer and MAC layer design for wireless systems, particularly across multiple spectrum bands. The PDA is expected to actively disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences. The PDA is expected to contribute to the intellectual property development through patent filings, as well as participating in international standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies, in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki invites applications for the position of a part-time (35 %)  ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR  The field of the position is Prehospital Emergency Medicine, and the language of instruction is Finnish. The position may be filled as assistant professor, associate professor or professor, depending on the candidates’ merits and career stage. The professorship in Prehospital Emergency Medicine is connected to the position of head of department at HUS Helsinki University Hospital. Common selection criteria of the Faculty of Medicine Assistant / associate professor  An appointee to the position of assistant/associate professor in the tenure track system shall hold a doctoral degree, have the ability to conduct independent scholarly work and have the teaching skills necessary for the position. In addition, applicants for assistant / associate professorships shall demonstrate their ability and motivation for an academic career through publications and other means. The degree requirement must be met by the end of the application deadline.  When considering applicants’ qualifications, account shall be taken not only of their research work and teaching qualifications, but also of their success in obtaining external research funding, international research experience and other international experience.  Professor  An appointee to a professorship shall hold a doctoral degree and have top-level scholarly qualifications, experience in the supervision of scientific research, as well as the ability to provide top-level research-based teaching and to supervise theses and dissertations. In addition, the appointee shall present documentation of international cooperation in the field of research that he or she represents. Holders of professorships shall also have the skills necessary for serving as an academic leader. The degree requirement must be met by the end of the application deadline.  When considering the applicant’s qualifications, attention shall be given to scientific publications and other research results of scientific value, teaching experience and pedagogical training, the ability to produce teaching material, other teaching merits as well as the applicant’s participation in doctoral education. To ensure that the applicant’s ability to supervise theses and dissertations meets the requirements of the Faculty of Medicine, he or she must have completed the supervision of at least one doctoral dissertation. The requirement for a supervised dissertation must be met by the end of the application period.  Duties The Assistant professor / Associate professor / Professor is responsible for undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education in the field. In addition the appointee participates in teaching in practical small group and in lecture-based teaching in his or her specialty. The duties also include carrying out and supervising scientific research, following developments in research in the relevant field and participating in societal interaction as well as national and international cooperation in the field. In addition, the professor’s duties include other tasks assigned by the Faculty. The practical experience required for the position can be demonstrated with a specialist’s degree or licence in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Anaesthesiology or another applicable specialty. Trial period of six months will be applied. Requirements for language skills Holders of teaching and research positions at Finnish universities must be proficient in the language of teaching, either Finnish or Swedish.  Salary The salary will be based on level 7 (assistant professor) and levels 8-10 (professor) of the demands level chart for teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities.
