We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Programme Manager to provide strategic leadership for the RENEW project, a Research Ireland National Challenge Fund initiative currently in the final prize phase of its funding. This senior role will act as a central coordination point between the Advisory Panel, Senior Leadership, and the project’s technical and engagement teams, ensuring strong alignment between strategy, delivery, and impact. Salary Scale: €70,034 – €90,830 p.a. pro rata at 0.9 FTE with increment Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions. The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor of Philosophy with a specialization in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. The area of research specialty (AoS) is open, and the aforementioned approach would be preferable. The Department has teaching needs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Qualifications Applicants must hold a PhD in Philosophy, or in a related area. Applicants are expected to have an international research profile and strong publication record, commensurate with their career stage, in their area of research expertise preferably in Philosophy of Science or History of Western Philosophy. Applicants should also have an excellent record of tertiary teaching and supervision experience, again commensurate with their career stage. Fluency in both English and Chinese is preferred. The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2026. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
