It offers seven degree programmes, including Accountancy, Aviation Management, Communication and Digital Media, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Integrated Studies in Business and Info-Comm, as well as two Food Business Management programmes offered in partnership with our overseas university partner, the Culinary Institute of America. This collection of business-related programmes provides a rich platform for the cross-fertilisation of ideas among faculty and students. The faculty comprises academically qualified staff with doctoral degrees, alongside seasoned industry practitioners who hold professional and postgraduate qualifications. This combination of academic rigour and practical experience supports a robust applied learning pedagogy. Through applied learning, students are exposed to real-life knowledge and practical examples, thereby enhancing the relevance and impact of their educational experience. The presence of both academics and industry practitioners also strengthens the Cluster’s industry relevance, as faculty members engage in applied research with direct applications and value to industry partners. The Cluster adopts a student and industry centric model of business education, with the ultimate goal of delivering industry-relevant training. Faculty Openings in the Accountancy Programme The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accountancy was one of the first three programmes conferred by SIT. The programme is accredited by Singapore’s national accountancy body, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), as well as several leading global accountancy professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Uniquely, the programme is also recognised under the University Affiliation Programme by the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. This three-year direct honours degree was developed through extensive consultations with industry leaders and accreditation bodies. Learners may choose to specialise in one of five accountancy domains: Applied Finance, Audit, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, and Taxation. We currently have positions available at all levels from Assistant Professor to Full Professor in the area of Financial Accounting (Sustainability Reporting and Carbon Accounting). Successful candidates will join the BCD Cluster as part of a faculty team comprising accomplished experts who are passionate about higher education and actively engaged in driving industry transformation through applied research. Faculty members may undertake funded, industry-relevant research and are expected to teach courses within the Accountancy Programme, with opportunities to contribute to other programmes within the BCD Cluster. They may also supervise industry-based master's and doctoral students on relevant topics. In addition, faculty are granted paid leave to undertake consultancy work with industry and/or participate in industry attachments to further enhance their practical expertise. We prioritise collegial and team-spirited candidates who possess either: (a) a Ph.D. or equivalent from a reputable university with a specialisation in Accountancy-related domains and relevant industry experience; or (b) extensive industry experience with demonstrated technical expertise in the aforementioned areas. Familiarity with recognised global standards and frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, ISSB Standards (IFRS S1 and S2), TCFD, and GRI. Proven ability to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in relevant subject areas, including but not limited to: Sustainability and Integrated Reporting ESG Performance Measurement Climate Risk and Carbon Footprint Analysis Corporate Accountability and Ethics A track record of publications, or clear pipelines, in peer-reviewed journals or professional outlets within the domains of sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, ESG, or climate disclosure. We are seeking a highly motivated individual- either a Grade 7 PhD holder, or a Grade 6 graduate - to join the EYESAVE project, funded by the Vivensa Foundation Trust, as a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lead. The project addresses the growing demands on glaucoma care by developing an AI-enabled triage platform that integrates retinal imaging, clinical data, and machine learning to support early detection and prioritisation of patients at risk of vision loss. The role involves leading PPIE activities to ensure that patient perspectives and lived experiences shape the design, development, and evaluation of the technology throughout the project. Working in collaboration with clinicians, AI researchers, and vision scientists at Newcastle University, Sunderland Eye Hospital and Newcastle RVI, this position offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful impact by embedding co-production and patient voice into cutting-edge research. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in public engagement, health research involvement, or community partnership working to contribute to a high-impact project with strong potential for clinical adoption and real-world benefit. This post is fixed term for 12 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time) as the project is time and funding-limited. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols. Based across King’s Denmark Hill, Guy’s, St Thomas’ and Waterloo campuses, our academic programme of teaching, research and clinical practice is embedded across five Departments About the role The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer is the operational and partnership lead for the Inkfish EMBRACE (Enhanced Maternal and Baby Results with AI-supported Care and Empowerment) programme, setting up and managing the operations across the multi-partner, multiple country consortium. The post holder is required to be a highly experienced, strategic leader with expertise in artificial intelligence in the context of personalised health. EMBRACE is a visionary, multicomponent international research programme, the first of its kind in the world, supported by Inkfish with £35M core funds over six years, starting in April 2025. It is a global study of 60,000 participants, including 20,000 mothers, 20,000 infants and up to 20,000 partners. It brings together world-leading clinician scientists across six distinguished Healthcare organisations, world-leading AI & technology companies, together with premier biotech companies, with the overarching aim to fast-track major scientific breakthroughs, revolutionise maternal and early childhood health through precision-personalised interventions, powered by a groundbreaking symbiosis of cutting-edge AI combined with human support. The post holder is responsible for establishing and managing the EMBRACE programme working closely with the study Director and lead PI, Professor Josip Car (King’s College London), Senior Advisors, other members of the research leadership team and Industry partner organisations. The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer will manage all parties within the global consortium and key stakeholders to set up and maintain an operational framework that meets the regulatory requirements of each partner country and organisation to meet EMBRACE’s ambitious goals. They will oversee day-to-day execution of decisions and contracts, including the oversight of the research teams and business operations. This includes the consortium’s financial management, project management – meeting key milestones, writing and presenting reports, establishing and overseeing the programme’s governance, ethical and regulatory compliance, and maintaining internal and external relationships including with industry partners, funders and collaborators. The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic leadership, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensure delivery of high-impact research outcomes. This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 01/10/2030. Please note that you will be expected to come into the office a minimum of 4 days a week.
