Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role Student Administration Services (SAS) at Flinders University is a key contributor to the student experience from admissions through to graduations to contribute to a contemporary and positive student and staff experience. Reporting to the Manager, Enrolments and Student Reporting, the Operations Lead, Student Reporting is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the student reporting activities, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of the TCSI (Transforming the Collection of Student Information) reporting process, including quality assurance and compliance with legislative and institutional requirements. The Operations Lead, Student Reporting also provides operational leadership by managing workload allocation, monitoring performance, and supporting staff development through training and coaching. Acting as the primary point of escalation for complex reporting issues, the position ensures resolution of enquiries and remediation of data errors to meet critical reporting deadlines. Some of the key position responsibilities are: Acting as the first point of escalation for complex student and staff enquiries and resolving issues related to student enrolments and TCSI reporting. Supporting the development and implementation of student-related policies and procedures relating to enrolment and reporting, in compliance with internal policy and relevant external legislation and guidelines. Maintaining and updating all business processes and work instructions for the Enrolments and Student Reporting team, ensuring all activities comply with the University’s policies and TCSI reporting obligations. Executing remediation plans by monitoring real-time validation errors, directing team activities to resolve errors promptly to ensure reporting deadlines are met. The Faculty of Social Sciences invites applications for the position of POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER for a fixed term period of 2 years, starting asap or as agreed. The Faculty of Social Sciences is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the “Sex Differences in Immunity (SEXDIM)” project. The project aims to provide insight into how changing fertility patterns and environmental factors relate to immunity in populations, particularly in women’s health. The principal investigator (PI) of the project is Dr Elina Einiö.  This position is part of the interdisciplinary consortium at the University of Helsinki, Sex Differences in Immunity, led by Dr Piret Avila, which brings together researchers across demography, statistics, evolutionary biology, immunology, and genomics to bridge evolutionary and mechanistic explanations of sex differences in immunity. The successful applicant should contribute to one or more of the research disciplines of the project, preferably demography or health sciences. The project is associated with the Helsinki Institute for Demography and Population Health and the Max Planck – University of Helsinki Center on Social Inequalities in Population Health.  The main task of the appointed researcher is - jointly with the research team - to design and conduct quantitative research, mostly on longitudinal register-based data on autoimmune diseases. Additionally, the researcher is expected to actively contribute to teaching in the master’s program in social sciences, or thesis supervision and other research activities of the Institute. QUALIFICATIONS The appointee to the position must hold a doctoral degree in demography, sociology, health sciences, data sciences, statistics, economics, or other relevant field, have strong quantitative methods skills and an excellent command of written English. Demonstrated skills in either assessing lifetables, publishing in the field of public health, or using Nordic register-based data on medical care are a plus. The default assumption is that the degree requirement must be met by the beginning of employment.
