Kuwait College of Science and Technology is based in the Doha district to the west of Kuwait City, close to the Arabian Gulf’s Kuwait Bay. It was opened in 2016 as a private English-medium institution.

The Faculty of Engineering offers degrees in electronic and communications engineering, computer engineering, and computer science, while foundation programmes offer potential students a route into degree courses through two semesters of English, maths, physics and information technology. 

The curriculum for cybernetics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, renewable energy, and instrumentation is being developed in partnership with IIT Delhi. Bayes Business School, London is assisting with engineering and business programmes and Bentley Business School, Massachusetts advises on executive education. 

Research facilities include the first Cyber Security Laboratory at any university in the Middle East and a Renewable Energy Standalone Testbed.

The campus has auditoriums, lecture theatres, laboratories, a library, smart classrooms and outdoor sports facilities.

Your key responsibilities include: To take the lead on, plan, develop and conduct individual and/or collaborative research objectives, projects and proposals either as an individual or as part of a broader programme. To establish a national reputation and regularly disseminate and explain research findings through leading peer-reviewed national publications (on a sustained basis), conferences and other appropriate media. To deliver teaching across a range of modules or within a subject area, providing curriculum leadership within own area of expertise. Be responsible for the design of modules and/or programmes of study in specialist area and for their quality. Where appropriate identify the need for developing the content or structure of existing modules and make proposals on how this should be achieved. About You NUBS China seeks to appoint proactive, mature academics who are self-driven and results-oriented, resilient and creative, with internationally recognised intellectual contributions in the relevant subject area. Candidates should have: PhD in business analytics or relevant subject area. Good potential/track record of publishing high-quality research in international peer-reviewed journals. Experience of teaching relevant subjects at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in an international English-speaking institution. Ability to secure internal and external research funding. Your personal sphere of play The Political Communication Research Group (polcom.univie.ac.at) at the Department of Communication, a subunit of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Vienna, studies the interaction between political elites, media, and citizens. Current research is focused on understanding how and under which conditions political elites communicate with citizens, what role media organizations and journalists play in the political communication process, how citizens process elite and journalistic communication, and what role digital technologies play in this process. Scholars in the group use a variety of qualitative and quantitative social research methods to develop and test theories that help understand the quality of political communication in democracies today. To extend the group’s research profile, we are looking for a motivated postdoc with a focus on political communication. The position is to be filled whilst a member of staff is absent. The postdoc will work closely with Univ.-Prof. Sophie Lecheler and other scholars in the group. Subject-specific competencies in one or more of the following subject areas of the research group are of advantage: (1) AI and digital technologies in political communication, (2) diversity of voices in political communication, (3) the politics of science communication, (4) quality of political communication and political journalism. The postdoc is expected to develop, conduct, and internationally present/publish research using a combination of relevant methods, such as experiments, panel surveys, big data and computational approaches. While a focus on quantitative research methods is desired, the postdoc should be interested in the integration of quantitative and qualitative data. Strong interest in open science approaches and development of ethical research standards is of advantage. The postdoc is also expected to collaborate with members of the research group in acquiring third- party funding, and will participate in administrative tasks at the department. Moreover, the position involves independent teaching of political communication and/or methods courses as defined by the collective agreement within the teaching program of Communication Science. This role is positioned within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, on an Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing-funded project which aims to build the capacity of the alcohol and other drug workforce to respond to mental health conditions. You will contribute to the successful delivery of research translation, communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives designed to increase the uptake and impact of evidence-based guidelines, resources and programs. As a Project Officer, you will provide operational and project management support across a range of activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications and promotion, workshop and webinar delivery, trainer coordination, data collection and analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with researchers, tertiary education institutions, trainers and other stakeholders to ensure project activities are delivered efficiently and achieve meaningful outcomes. Description The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to support the project LANDMark on research on land economics, in any of the following areas: Measurement of land prices, with a focus on imputation techniques Land value determinants: public infrastructures (transport, health, and education services) Macroeconomic stability and instability in the presence of land as a fixed, non-produced asset Taxation of land wealth as an alternative to the consumption tax and the capital tax The political economy of land and its taxation Land, fixed resources, and political conflict The successful applicant will contribute to the research centered on any of these themes. The qualified candidate will have a Ph.D. in economics or another quantitative field with no more than five years from receipt of the degree, and an appetite for working on interdisciplinary teams. This position requires: Research experience in the mentioned areas of land (in a broad sense, including housing, macroeconomics, labor, urban, spatial economics, political economy, and conflict). Description The Laboratory of Applied Nonlinear Dynamics (L.A.N.D.) within the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position, with a start date of November 2026. The successful candidate will have prior research experience, both computational and experimental, in the broad field of nonlinear mechanics. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in machine learning, wave propagation, metamaterials, and/or fluid–structure interactions.
