About the role We are looking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy to work within the School for Government at King’s. This role will be a senior member of the academic staff of the school and contribute to the academic life of the School, as well as the wider Policy Institute, of which we are a part. The candidate will be expected to have, and to build, an active research pipeline in their chosen field. They will be supported to bid for and deliver research grants and contracts and will also be encouraged and supported to supervise doctoral students, and to play an active and leading role in the Policy Institute’s Doctoral Programme, Executive Education programmes, or another strategic domain. The role requires an experienced individual who understands the contribution of continuing professional development and executive education for public servants. The candidate will have knowledge of the policy sector in the UK, and preferably experience working in the public sector. The postholder will have an excellent teaching record and the ability to develop innovative teaching content and delivery methods. Experience of online content delivery is ideal but not essential. This is an exciting time for the School for Government, and so we welcome candidates with an entrepreneurial approach to their work.
