Department: Plant Sciences Core Facility – Central European Institute of Technology Deadline: 30 Jun 2026 Start date: 1.8.2026 Job type: part-time Job field: Science and research Research specialist - Plant regeneration and development Central European Institute of Technology, Masaryk University (CEITEC MU) Brno, Czechia | www.ceitec.eu Position: This three-year contract position is open under the supervision of Mgr. Markéta Pernisová, Ph.D., as part of the TowArds Next GENeration Crops (TANGENC) project, which focuses on novel breeding techniques for crop improvement. The research will primarily investigate the hormonal regulation of plant in vitro regeneration and shoot development. Additionally, the researcher will participate in the development of molecular tools and protocols for genome editing, transformation, and plant regeneration. Developing and improving plant genetic engineering resources - such as transgenics and genome editing - requires the collaborative efforts of multiple groups with complementary expertise. Our team members have extensive experience managing research projects and teams, maintaining international collaborations, and publishing in high-impact scientific journals.
