Describing itself as "one of the premier engineering institutes" of the south Indian state of Karnataka, KLE was founded in 1947. Today it is spread across three cities; its law is school based in Bangalaru (Bangalore).
A university since 2012, KLE’s current focuses are engineering, management and law. But it has set itself the target of emerging as a multidisciplinary research university by 2031.
It currently enrols more than 8,000 undergraduate students and 700 postgraduates. These are split across the school of engineering, which offers 1,340 undergraduate places each year, the school of management and the departments of computing, commerce, legal studies and science. In 2023, it awarded 1,619 undergraduate degrees, about two-thirds to men, while a small majority of the 245 postgraduate degrees went to women.
In 2022, KLE was accredited at A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, with a grade point average of 3.1 out of 4. It was ranked 180th among India’s numerous engineering institutions in the 2021 National Institutional Rankings Framework. KLE was named as one of five global institutions to watch in a MIT-JWEL survey of engineering education.

Moreover, the Clinical Appointment Specialist acts as a primary point of contact with external stakeholders, contributing to the effectiveness and success of clinical education programs. Responsibilities include also supporting the development of innovative evaluation tools and manages data collection, reporting, and the dissemination of information through reports and newsletters. Manage Clinical Teaching/Research Awards: Announce and promote clinical teaching/research awards, providing guidance and support to clinical affiliates throughout the application process. Coordinate Clinical Appointment Events: Plan and execute clinical appointment events, managing logistics, invitations, and communication with VIPs. Tracking license expiration dates and initiating renewal processes in advance. Facilitating the transfer of licenses for faculty members joining QU from other institutions or countries. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines. Maintain Licensing Database: Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of all licensed QU (contact information, license type and status, expiration dates and renewal history), any other relevant information related to faculty licensure. Monitor Compliance with DHP Regulations: Monitor QU Health faculty members' clinical practice to ensure compliance with DHP regulations and maintain their clinical licensure. This may involve: Staying up to date on DHP regulations and any changes that may occur. Providing guidance and support to faculty on licensing requirements and best practices. Conducting periodic audits of faculty clinical practice to ensure compliance. Focal Point with External Stakeholders: Assists in coordinating, supervising, and completing special projects as appropriate. Description The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the broad research areas of non-associative algebras and representation theory.
