Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was founded in 2006. It can trace its roots back to 1961 and was built on the foundations of teaching training institutions in Kırşehir but has since take on a much wider remit as a state university.
It is named after Ahi Evran, a 12th century tanner who founded tradesmen’s organisations.
Students can study between faculties of education, arts and science, economic and administrative science, Islamic science, engineering and architecture, fine arts, health science, sports science, medicine, and agriculture. There are also seven vocational schools.
There are six campuses – the main one at Bagbasi with others at Cacabeg, Asik Pasa, Kaman, Mucur and Ciekdagi.
Dormitory places are provided for students in 11 buildings, six in Kirsehir, two in each of Kaman and Mucur and a girls-only residence in Ciekdagi.

About the role The purpose of the role is to deliver a full award management function, including reports on work in progress and project monitoring as required and will report progress to Senior Research Grants Administrator and Research Grants Manager. About us The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England and recognised as one of the best law schools in the world. About the role This role will support the School’s online programme portfolio, of which there are currently three online programmes, with two new programmes starting in 2026. Working in a fast-paced and digitally enabled academic environment, the postholder is responsible for managing complex queries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting students from pre-enrolment to graduation and beyond. A key part of the role involves working with KEATS (Moodle) to support online learning. This includes updating course pages, uploading learning materials, and supporting the design and delivery of online assessments and activities. The Counselling and Mental Health Support Service provides a highly specialised Counselling and Mental Health service to students who are often in distress and require sensitive, timely access to psychological and mental health support. About the role: The role requires Counsellors to provide confidential psychological and emotional support to students, addressing a wide range of personal, social and academic challenges. The Counsellor will have extensive experience and skill in carrying out initial assessments with students, assessing student risk, previous mental health history and identifying therapeutic goals which are suitable for a short term therapeutic intervention. The Counsellor will manage a case load of individual clients, monitoring progress as well as referring students to internal and external supports where appropriate. The Counsellor will work within an experienced Counselling team and contribute to clinical case discussions.
