The Kaunas University of Technology employs nearly 2,000 staff, half of them are academic employees. Diversity, creativity, teamwork and leadership are among the qualities that the university values and promotes. 5 per cent of the University staff are international.

KTU participates in the European Commission’s Human Resources Strategy for Researchers process. In 2020, it received the HR Excellence in Research award.

In Lithuania, KTU boasts a strong reputation for maintaining close relationships with stakeholders, including business and industry. Internationally, KTU is a reliable research project partner – it is a leader among Lithuanian institutions in securing funding from the European Commission. As a member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) KTU is implementing the innovative university model – the first ECIU university in Europe.

The University invests in the well-being of its employees by providing support for developing their professional and personal competencies and encouraging international cooperation.
