Description The Center for Cyber Security (https://sites.nyuad.nyu.edu/ccs-ad/) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate / Associate Research Scientist to conduct studies in cyber security, focusing on systems security and privacy. Research in the Cyber Security center relevant to this position focuses on the three tracks below (the cover letter should mention which track the application is for, otherwise it will be rejected): Privacy-preserving computation using Fully Homomorphic Encryption Industrial Control Systems security Machine learning security and privacy Responsibilities of the position include performing research in system security, submitting publications in top cyber security conferences and journals, reviewing for top conferences, and mentoring junior researchers. Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant discipline, with no more than 5 years post receipt of their PhD. This role will involve teaching and research that engages in innovative, contemporary modes of making, with a willingness to explore the interface between digital and analogue forms of creative practice. The role involves academic leadership within art and architecture and design education, as well as undertaking research and service within the school and university. Description The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region. The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection. Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master’s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2–3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research. Experience working with patient populations and/or in neuroimaging or neuromodulation environments (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS) is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE is an asset.
