Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna was established in 2010, in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Its campus sits on a major highway linking Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, to the major city of Mumbai.

It is one of four specialist engineering universities established by JSS, an educational initiative that recognises the role that technology will play in improving the quality of life for people in India.

It serves a rural, agricultural region, with potential to develop into a major industrial hub. The aim is to provide the region with well-trained technical workers.

The university aims to offer a full range of degrees in emerging technologies. It runs four-year undergraduate programmes in subjects such as chemical engineering, civil engineering and computer science and engineering, as well as master’s and doctoral programmes.

JUET’s 125-acre campus includes state-of-the-art laboratories and a well-stocked library. Student clubs generally reflect the university’s degree focus, and include the chemical engineering forum, the Indian Concrete Institute student chapter and the cyber-security club.

Your personal sphere of play: The research team of Prof Kristina Djinovic-Carugo at the University of Vienna seeks an experienced and highly motivated Postdoc in the area of structural biology. In cooperation with the research groups of Michael Wagner and Holger Daims the Djinovic Lab is involved in studies of physiology, structural biology, biochemistry, and ecology of nitrifying microorganisms with focus on complete ammonia oxidizers (comammox organisms). We are a committed team and offer an interdisciplinary scientific environment, cutting-edge laboratories, and a creative working atmosphere. We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Postdoc in the field of structural biology and biochemistry. This position is limited to a duration of 9 months. Following this, there is an option for employment through a third-party funded project until a maximum of September 30, 2028.  About the Max Perutz Labs The Max Perutz Labs are a joint research institute of the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna. They were founded in 2005 to deepen the collaboration between the two universities in the field of molecular biosciences. Around 450 scientists from over 40 nations work in 40 research groups at the institute, investigating fundamental questions in molecular and cell biology. State-of-the-art research infrastructure supports their work in basic biomedical research. Your future tasks: Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means: You are involved in a research project on the structural and biochemical characterization of selected enzymes from comammox and other nitrifying microorganisms You are involved in research projects and scientific studies. You publish internationally and give lectures. You are involved in a research project on the structural and biochemical characterization of selected enzymes from Comammox and other nitrifying microorganisms You are willing to be involved in research regarding muscle proteins (Core research area of the Djinovic lab). You supervise trainees and students. You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration. This is part of your personality: Doctoral or PhD degree (Biology, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, or similar) Experience working with a plethora of bioinformatics tools dealing with sequence and structure analysis. Excellent knowledge and experience in structural biology. Didactic competence Experience with course organization, teaching and assignments/homework preparation High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing Excellent command of written and spoken English IT user skills Ability to work both independently and in a team. Description The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is announcing the opening of an Artist-in-Residence program and is welcoming applications from artists to fill the fourth position to start on September 1, 2026. The CGSB was established in 2012 to develop a world-class research environment at NYUAD and in the UAE. The NYUAD-CGSB includes a diverse array of research programs oriented around two main directions, “Biomedicine and Health” and “Environmental Adaptation and Sustainability”. The CGSB encourages and promotes scientific and cultural interactions by regularly hosting events such as lectures, workshops, and Science Cafés, facilitating the exchange of ideas and knowledge between program participants and the community. The Artist-in-Residence program is an extension of this effort and will bring together scientists and artists to collaborate, communicate, interact, and learn, promoting the creative thinking that drives innovation. The chosen artist is expected to collaborate with scientists on one or several of the CGSB-related research programs. The CGSB is located on the campus of NYUAD. NYUAD is a portal campus of New York University where classes of >400 international students from all over the world receive a liberal arts US education. NYUAD is located on Saadiyat Island, which is destined to become the cultural hub of the Middle East. It already hosts Le Louvre Abu Dhabi, and several other museums are in construction. Job Description As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Fellow to join an exciting applied research project within the Infocomm Technology cluster at SIT. This project addresses the critical challenge of delivering real-time Artificial Intelligence (AI) services in Internet of Things (IoT) networks, where latency and timeliness are paramount. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end investigation of novel edge-assisted offloading strategies for IoT networks. The role will bridge rigorous theoretical work with hands-on offloading algorithm design and development for IoT networks. The core responsibility is to build and validate edge-assisted offloading strategies, complete with software APIs, through rigorous simulations and live demonstrations. This position is ideal for a researcher with a passion for solving complex problems at the intersection of wireless communications, edge computing, and machine learning, and who is eager to translate theoretical insights into practical, IoT systems. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) to ensure all project deliverables are met. Derivation of closed-form theoretical latency and timeliness expressions for cloud-hosted AI services and edge-assisted offloading strategies. Analysis of theoretical latency and timeliness for cloud-hosted AI services and edge-assisted offloading strategies. Design and development of edge-assisted offloading strategy and associated software APIs. Validation of edge-assisted offloading strategy via simulations and live demonstrations. Job Requirements A Ph.D degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player. Strong theoretical background in wireless communications or edge computing will be advantageous. Proven track record in research and development of edge intelligence algorithms will be advantageous. Knowledge of machine learning or reinforcement learning techniques will be advantageous. Proficiency in algorithm development using Python will be advantageous

Description The Division of Engineering (Civil and Urban Engineering) in New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on research centering around infrastructure systems and the environment under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Bin Thaneya. The post-doctoral associate will lead collaborative efforts in advancing research focusing on the intersection of infrastructure, climate, and human health. Examples of current active projects include: Developing optimization models to analyze and mitigate fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure from various infrastructure systems (e.g., transportation networks, manufacturing systems, and truck routing). Assessing the relevance of the intake fraction (i.e., exposure efficiency) of major emission sources as a critical metric for infrastructure design, management, and policymaking. Investigating the residual sources of PM2.5 exposure from transportation systems following electric vehicle (EV) adoption, including exposure due to emissions from electricity generation for charging EVs, buses, trucks, rail, pavement resurfacing, tire and brake wear, and supply chain effects. Conducting life-cycle uncertainty assessments of building materials, carbon sinks (e.g., carbon dioxide removal options), and alternative low-carbon fuel sources. Candidates should demonstrate a strong theoretical background and proficiency in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure systems modeling, emissions inventory development, air quality modeling (chemical transport models and/or reduced-complexity models), exposure assessment of airborne pollutants, and life-cycle assessment. The post-doctoral associate will be expected to lead research efforts and contribute to publications in reputable academic journals.
