About you  The Department of War Studies has a large and diverse faculty, with varied theoretical and methodological expertise in areas including, but not limited to, conflict resolution, contemporary and historical warfare, gender, international relations, migration and borders, security studies, strategic studies, technology and violence. The Department is located within the School of Security Studies and the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. About the role  The Department of War Studies seeks to appoint a Lecturer in International Relations Education to contribute to the Department’s capacity for teaching and scholarship in international relations. The post is on the Academic Education Pathway (AEP) and focuses on the delivery of education, education-related scholarship, and leadership in education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, innovative undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Department of War Studies, especially its BA and MA programmes in International Relations. We welcome candidates who are familiar with a broad range of theoretical approaches to international relations, conflict and security. In particular, we are looking for candidates who have expertise in contemporary global transformations and who can support our teaching in international relations and critical approaches to conflict and security. The successful candidate will work with students from a wide range of backgrounds and will be committed to enabling student success.  The postholder will also undertake and publish high-quality scholarship and play a role in the institutional and intellectual development of War Studies and undertake Departmental, School, Faculty and University administrative duties as required.  The Department is located within the School of Security Studies and the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. Description The Applied Interactive Multimedia laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated research or postdoctoral associate to lead the design, development, and validation of material, control systems, and algorithms for next-generation soft haptic actuators and experiences. Note that the research involves significant interactions with collaborators in material science. The developed technologies will be utilized to develop digital twin and soft robot-assisted simulations in the areas of brain machine interaction, wearable haptics, and rehabilitation. The successful applicant will have the following technical experience in: PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering (or related field) OR 3-5 years of industry experience (Research and Development).
