The Neuroscience Center is an international research unit within Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE). The mission of the Neuroscience center is to advance fundamental discoveries in neurosciences to understand how the brain gives rise to complex behaviors in health and disease and to promote health and wellbeing by translating research findings into improvements in the treatments, preventions and diagnostics of psychiatric and neurological disorders. The research groups at the institute operate across several scales from neurogenetics, neurobiology, to systems and computational neuroscience. The Neuroscience Center invites applications from outstanding candidates for GROUP LEADER with focus on clinical research in neurology, psychiatry or neurophysiology (or similar). The position is with 20-100% FTE depending on the candidate’s primary position and for a fixed term (non tenure track) with 5 + 4 years upon successful external mid-term evaluation.
