Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia. Inspired by the spirit of nationalism and guided by perennial values, UII was founded one month before the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945. To support the learning process, 10 libraries, 82 laboratories, and 27 research centers, are provided for research and education. Meanwhile, a great masjid, bookstore, sport hall, auditoriums, hospital, and student convention center are among first-rate facilities available in UII campuses.

To ensure that learning in UII is conducted with the highest standard, quality is put firmly in place. As a result, in 2009, the Government of Indonesia ranks UII first nationally in Quality Assurance. UII also earns the ISO 9001:2008 certificate as an evidence of international recognition. In 2013, UII achieves 'A' grade for its institutional accreditation by the Indonesian National Accreditation Board with the highest score among other private universities in Indonesia.

In 2015, Universitas Islam Indonesia was ranked in the top ten of the best universities in Indonesia over the field of higher education management and organizational quality by the Government of Indonesia. In 2016, UII was awarded by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) as the best private university in Indonesia based on its research performance.

About us ​​King’s Centre for International Education and Languages a new, cross-cutting Centre designed to widen the educational reach of King’s. It brings together three existing areas: King’s Foundations, Summer Programmes, and King’s Language Centre. This brings together international pathway provision, pre sessional programmes, pre-UG summer courses, UG summer modules, UG language modules, bespoke language programmes for the community and our partners and academic skills provision for all King’s students. ​Each of these areas are well established, respected and recognised within and beyond the King’s community. The Centre is focused on enabling collaboration between the three departments to further advance our work in promoting educational excellence and supporting and enhancing the student experience. The Centre has expertise in International Education and makes a significant contribution to the rich and diverse make-up of the King’s student body. About the role The Learning Technology Officer will support the implementation of Digital Education initiatives at the Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL), which includes King’s Language Centre, King’s Foundations, and King’s Summer. CIEL comprises around 250 academic and professional services staff and teaches over 12,000 students each year. This role provides practical, hands-on support for the use of digital learning technologies across the Centre. The postholder will assist with the setup and design of KEATS (Moodle VLE), contribute to the creation and maintenance of digital learning materials, and support staff and students in the effective use of digital tools such as Turnitin and Kaltura. They will also contribute to training delivery, process improvement, and the evaluation of digital education practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering an inclusive, forward-thinking digital learning environment that enhances both student and staff experiences through consistent, accessible, and engaging use of technology. This is a full time, and you will be offered an indefinite contract. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive teaching practices. Desirable criteria Certified membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., CMALT). Experience of working in higher education contexts. Working knowledge of video editing software and other media tools.
