The International Christian University is a non-denominational private university located in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 1949.

It is a liberal arts college and has several partner institutions worldwide including the University of California system, University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Yonsei University, UCL and many others.

Classes are taught in both English or Japanese and the faculty must have a strong grasp of both languages. Approximately 30 per cent of the courses are offered in English. There are 31 undergraduate majors including anthropology, computer science, economics, international relations, linguistics, music, psychology and public policy among others.

There is also a a graduate school which offers courses in education, international relations, social and cultural analysis, media and language, public economics, peace studies, comparative culture and natural sciences.

The university follows the major system, similar to that of US universities and students are not required to decide on a major until the end of the second year.

There are also eight research institutes at the university. These institutes plan and sponsor conferences, lectures, symposia and seminars and give students the opportunity to meet with scholars in a number of different areas, from Japan and overseas.

There are approximately 100 student-led clubs and organisations spanning the arts, sports and academics.

Some notable alumni of the university include jazz pianist Kei Akagi, Kazuo Hirai, the chairman of the Sony Corporation, Toshio Arima, president of Fuji Xerox and Toyohiro Akiyama, a TV journalist and the first Japanese national to have flown in space.

About us The postholder will be based in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, joining Europe’s largest grouping of youth-focused mental health scientists, clinical academics and researchers at the newly established Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People. About the role This role will provide clinical psychology expertise to support a programme of youth mental health research and service innovation under the direction of Dr Daniel Michelson (Clinical Reader in Youth Mental Health), working in partnership with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, community youth organisations and schools. The postholder will contribute to the co-design, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of a portfolio of intervention-focused projects, with an emphasis on scalable formats that can be delivered by non-specialists. These include: A transdiagnostic single-session intervention for clinically referred young people with depression or anxiety on CAMHS waiting lists (supported by assistant psychologists). A suite of single-session early interventions designed to address emerging depression and anxiety among young people supported by youth organisations in Croydon and Lambeth (supported by community youth workers). A brief intervention targeting emotionally based school avoidance during the transition from primary to secondary school (supported by attendance mentors). For those seeking to pursue a future clinical academic career, an appropriate professional development plan will be provided (e.g., mentoring and other support for developing a competitive fellowship application). This is a part-time post (14 hours per week; 0.4FTE), available on a fixed-term contract until 31/08/28. About you To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology with active HCPC registration as a Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist. Experience in applied mental health research, gained as a salaried research assistant/associate/fellow and/or during doctoral training. Experience of lived experience involvement in mental health research and service development. Experience of delivering brief psychological interventions to young people aged 10-19 years. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare research outputs and intervention materials with meticulous attention to detail, and tailored for diverse audiences. Excellent team-working skills, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and independently as needed. Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple competing demands. Desirable criteria Experience as a trainer and/or supervisor of evidence based. psychological interventions for young people and caregivers. Experience of working with young people and caregivers in diverse non-clinical settings, including community youth services and schools. Experience of co-designing digital mental interventions and other scalable formats with young people and caregivers. A track record of peer-reviewed publications. Commitment to pursuing a clinical academic career. Associate / Full Professor of Curatorial Practice CASBE seeks outstanding applicants for its Director post, which will concurrently carry a faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Curatorial Practice. The CASBE Director is expected to: Articulate and implement an academic vision for the Centre for Art, Science, and Biocultural Ecologies (CASBE) in alignment with CoHASS and NTU mission, framing the Centre as a critical site for the arts, culture, technology and environment; Interrogate the role of art and culture within interdisciplinary discourses and pioneer contemporary curatorial practices research, and programming in relation to Singapore, Southeast Asia, and the Asia Pacific; Collaborate with the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG), Berlin,  in co-directing the Biocultural Worlding project; Help guide the MA in Museum Studies and Curatorial Practices programme; Nurture interdisciplinary collaborations within NTU, across Singapore and globally; Advocate for CASBE through key academic platforms and professional networks; Initiate and oversee grant-funded projects; Drive community outreach, industry engagement, and funder-facing activities; Oversee Financial, personnel, and operational management with help from CASBE Senior Assistant Director. The Salo research group at the HiLIFE – Institute of Biotechnology, University of Helsinki, is seeking a collaborative and curiosity-driven Postdoctoral Researcher in structural biology. The position begins in early 2026 and is initially for 2 years, with the possibility of extension. The salary scale is 3 500–4 000 € per month, depending on the candidate’s experience and merits.     About the project and group    The Nanoscale Architecture Lipid Flux – Veijo Salo research group aims to uncover the molecular logic of lipid flux and organelle biogenesis in metabolic health and disease. We use state-of-the-art approaches in cell biology, imaging, and in-cell structural biology to reveal nanoscale membrane architectures that drive lipid flux in their native context. The group operates across two interconnected sites: the University of Helsinki and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. For more information, please visit our website.    This project will focus on structural and biochemical approaches to understand membrane-associated protein assemblies involved in lipid homeostasis. Depending on the candidate’s expertise and interest, the work may include protein and organelle purification, biochemical reconstitution, and single-particle cryo-EM analysis of membrane protein complexes, as well as structural–functional assays in human cells. The exact project will be developed together with the selected researcher.
