Instituto Superior Politécnico de Ndalatando

The Instituto Superior Politécnico de Ndalatando (ISPNd) was originally founded in 2011 as the Escola Superior Politécnica do Cuanza Norte. In 2020, it was granted full autonomy through a presidential decree, becoming a public institution of higher education with administrative and financial independence. 
The institute is located in N’dalatando, the capital of Cuanza Norte.
A major new campus is under construction in the Catome de Baixo neighbourhood, set to expand capacity to over 5,000 students. The project includes 40 classrooms, labs, dormitories, sports facilities, and a modern library.
The institute is home to several faculties offering undergraduate degree programmes in a range of subject areas including public health, nursing, law, accounting, management informatics, public administration, electrical engineering, and agronomy.

The First Department of Internal Medicine - Cardioangiology is a joint workplace of the Medical Faculty of MU and the University Hospital at St. Anny v Brně, which, in addition to medical activities, carries out educational, scientific and research activities. Required qualification:


	Completed university education in the medical field (with the title MD), or equivalent education attained abroad

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for the research and implementation of a large-scale mental health and well-being project for primary schools in Hong Kong under the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences. Major tasks include:


	Devising and designing research studies and evaluation frameworks.
	Implementing research activities and programme evaluation.
	Collecting and analysing data.
	Preparing technical research reports.
	Coordinating a team of research staff and interns.

Requirements

The appointee should possess:


	A Ph.D. or MPhil degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
	A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
	Strong research skills in Psychology or Social Sciences.
	Proficiency in advanced statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, or Python), as well as MS Excel and Chinese typing.
	Experience in the implementation of community or educational research projects will be an advantage.
	Proven ability to supervise junior researchers and research assistants.
	Demonstrated leadership in managing and coordinating a research team to achieve project objectives.


What We Offer

The appointment will commence in September 2026, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer and 15% for Research Officer, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
