Our work spans methodological development and real-world application, driving improvements in health outcomes and healthcare delivery. This 50% Education / 50% Research lectureship offers the opportunity to make a distinctive contribution to our teaching programmes while developing a high-quality, independent research portfolio in digital health, artificial intelligence, and health informatics. The postholder will play a key role in our award-winning MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics (ASMHI), contributing to programme and module leadership, course delivery, and curriculum enhancement. Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive team, you will help shape the future direction of postgraduate education in this rapidly evolving field. About you: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as health informatics, computer science, data science, biostatistics, or a closely related field. The Global Languages and Cultures Hub at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University was established in 2025 and is home to three dynamic centres: the Academic Literacies Centre (ALC), the English Language Centre (ELC), and the Modern Languages Centre (MLC). The Modern Languages Centre (MLC) delivers high-quality language instruction and cultural education in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. The Chinese Language Division offers diverse courses taught by 19 dedicated language lecturers. Students develop strong Chinese language skills and gain a deeper understanding of Suzhou’s and China’s unique cultures through tailored teaching materials and methodologies. Extracurricular cultural activities and field trips provide immersive, real-world opportunities to develop students’ communication skills and enhance their learning experience. Responsibilities and Duties Applications are invited for Chinese language teaching positions in the Global Cultures and Languages Hub at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) before 5th January, 2026.
