Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre is a public higher education institution in Portugal established in 1980. It operates across campuses in Portalegre and Elvas in the Alentejo region.
The institution is organised into four schools: the Higher School of Education and Social Sciences, the Higher School of Health, the Higher School of Technology, Management and Design, and the Elvas Higher School of Biosciences.
It offers programmes ranging from professional technical courses to bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, postgraduate qualifications and doctoral level study. Subject areas include education, health sciences, engineering, agriculture, tourism, communication, management and renewable energy.
