L’Institut Agro is the french institute for higher education and research in agriculture, food systems and the environment. Headquartered in Paris it has six campus embedded in the dynamics of the cities of Angers, Dijon, Montpellier and Rennes, which cover the diversity of agri-food systems across France, Europe and worldwide.

L’Institut Agro delivers post-graduate education to 4500 students in total, among which 450 PhD candidates and 2500 students of masters of engineering navigating 8 tracks and 30 majors. With the inclusion of its bachelor, the support to 800 vocational schools for agriculture and its professional development program L’Institut Agro is internationally recognized as a major player in capacity development in agrifood systems engineering, design and management. Its expertise encompasses life science, food science, agriculture, data science, livestock and fish, horticulture and viticulture, agri-business, rural development, ecosystems, biodiversity, landscape and natural resource management, socio-economy and policies, bioeconomy and climate change.

With its 60 000 Alumni, 300 faculty members collaborating with 1250 researchers in its 39 research units in partnership with INRAE, CIRAD, CNRS, IRD, IFREMER and INSERM, 4 experimental pilot farming estates, 19 Partnership Programs with private companies and business incubators it is involved worldwide in the transformation of agri-food systems to reach the sustainable development goals.

You will work closely with an experienced research team, which includes postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and clinical experts. About the role: We are looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join Dr Heathcote’s team within the Health Psychology Group, Department of Psychology at King’s College London. We are seeking a proactive and organized Programme / Lab Manager to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of a 5-year Wellcome Trust funded research programme entitled ‘When your body betrays you: interoceptive mechanisms of anxiety after cancer’. This is an interdisciplinary research programme cutting across psychology, neuroscience, and patient-clinician communication. This dynamic role involves managing budgets, contracts, and collaborations across leading institutions (KCL, UCL, and Stanford), supporting clinical trial-related activities of novel digital mind-body therapies, and facilitating research dissemination through publications and science communication. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal Investigator and lab members, coordinating meetings, onboarding new staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive research culture. This role will require in-person attendance at Guy’s Hospital for at least two days per week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The additional 0.5 days can be worked either on Wednesdays or Thursdays and be worked flexibly, including at Guy’s or from home. The Health Psychology Section at King’s College London has played a pivotal role in advancing Health Psychology in the UK and continues to drive impactful research in long-term condition management and intervention development. This is a part-time post (50% FTE; 2.5 days per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 16/02/2027. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to develop an onboard microgrid simulation model with energy management. Work with research team to deliver the work scope and undertake these responsibilities in the project. Work Responsibilities: Develop a detailed electrical model of the e-vessel microgrid (power system) based on the concept design in a simulation environment such as Matlab/Simulink. Design and develop an intelligent energy management system for the e-vessel microgrid for coordinated control of multiple energy sources considering cost, carbon, and operation constraints. Operate the simulated electrical model on a real-time system such as Typhoon power-in-loop and Opal-RT systems with physical real connections to the EMS controller to perform deterministic simulations for unit, sub-system and whole system verification and validation. Implement and carry out simulation studies for onboard microgrid and connection to shore charging infrastructure Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and assist in laboratory management. Mentor students involved in the research project. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned. Job Requirements: Have a PhD’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. Major in Power Engineering will be advantageous. Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in high fidelity modelling, HIL (OpelRT or Typhoon), electrical system design for better efficiency and system resiliency, and energy management algorithm development using MATLAB/Simulink for marine microgrid applications. Knowledge on control is highly preferred. Have experience and commitment to supervising student projects and providing training. Self-motivated team player and good project management skills. Job Purpose As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on industry innovation research where you will support all aspects of the project to investigate neuroplasticity and recovery of movement quality after stroke using multimodal functional brain imaging and 3D human kinematics. This funded research brings together multidisciplinary expertise from Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), National University of Singapore (NUS), National University Hospital (NUH), University of Glasgow (UOG), Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in the areas of Neuroscience, Psychology, Movement Science and Rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Prepare data collection forms/interview questions/questionnaire and recruit and/or interview subjects. Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary. Perform computational modelling and analysis of the neuroimaging and behavioural data, with guidance from senior colleagues as required. Provide ready access to all experimental data for the faculty researcher and/or supervisor. Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies, foundations and Ethics Committee review. Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency. Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations. Coordinate and attend project meetings, monitor the project budget and work on other projects and initiatives, as required. Conduct literature reviews for publications and research briefings. Contribute to the dissemination of research findings (e.g., journal, conference, book). Support and collaborate with research assistants, graduate and undergraduate students, where applicable. Work in a team, contribute to the identification of possible funding sources and/or the planning and development of externally funded research proposals in an area relevant to the project. Perform other research-related tasks as required by the Principal Investigator. Job Requirements A good degree in relevant discipline (e.g. experimental psychology, biopsychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neurology, psychiatry, cognitive neuroscience, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, physics or related fields). A PhD* (or equivalent research experience) in a relevant subject (only for Research Fellow position). Candidates with a non-healthcare degree are welcome to apply. Familiarity with image data analysis tools such as SPM, FSL, AFNI, and/or DSIStudio etc will be an advantage. Signal processing and programming skills (e.g. with Matlab, Python) will be an advantage. Ability to use statistical packages such as SPSS, R for statistical analyses and visualisation will be an advantage. Some research and/or clinical experience/interest in the area of stroke rehabilitation or care will be an advantage.
