About you Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field. Demonstrated clinical experience within a healthcare environment, with the ability to apply sound clinical judgement and deliver safe, high-quality outcomes. Proven experience in product management and leading complex projects, using data and evidence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders. Strong organisational, planning and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment. The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) is a private, non-profit institution in Toronto and Canada's premier English-language provider of chiropractic education. Established in 1945, CMCC delivers a rigorous, four-year Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree, a second entry baccalaureate honours program, built on a strict, evidence-based model of musculoskeletal health. The College combines high-level undergraduate prerequisites with hands-on training across a network of community-based teaching clinics. In 2005, CMCC became the first private institution to offer a profession-oriented health care degree under the Government of Ontario's Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000. It is within this context that CMCC welcomes applications and nominations for the appointment of its Vice-President, Academic, commencing January 2027, or soon thereafter. As the Chief Academic Officer, the Vice-President Academic (VPA) provides academic leadership and strategic direction for the undergraduate Doctor of Chiropractic degree program, faculty development programs, the CMCC Health Sciences Library, and patient care. Working as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the VPA works closely with the Vice-President Finance and Administration to set, implement and lead the strategic and financial planning for CMCC. The VPA oversees a large team of approximately 180 full-time and part-time faculty and staff members and is responsible for the fostering of a collaborative culture that priorities excellence and innovation, and ensures rigorous performance standards for students, faculty, clinicians, and administration. As the VPA oversees Years I-IV of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program, their team is compromised of the Director, Library Services; the Year I-III Education Directors; the Associate Dean, Year IV; the Director, Experiential and Integrative Learning; the Manager, Curriculum and Faculty Development; and the Administrative Assistant to the VPA. Externally, the VPA establishes and maintains positive communications and relations with CMCC’s alumni, partners and stakeholders, sectorial peers, various levels of government, donors and community partners, and serves as an administrative liaison to various Board of Governors’ committees, including the Learning and Engagement Committee. Qualified candidates must hold a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree along with a PhD, MEd, or EdD and a strong record of academic scholarship. The Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT; www.mavt.ethz.ch) at ETH Zurich invites applications for the above-mentioned position at the tenure-track assistant professor or associate/full professor level. The new professor will contribute to D-MAVT’s global reputation by performing original and relevant research in the field of energy conversion and storage across scales, driven by fundamental challenges and with the aim of resulting in technologies for societally relevant applications. She/he is expected to establish an experimental program focused on scalable technologies to convert and/or store energy. Decarbonizing our energy system calls for new versatile technologies for converting and storing different forms of energy. The development of these technologies requires significant advances at the fundamental level. Translating these advances into cost-efficient and sustainable technologies at a global scale requires a pragmatic and visionary engineering approach. The research activities of the new professor should therefore be situated within the broad area of energy conversion and storage. Examples of potential areas include, but are not limited to, synthetic fuels, CO2 capture and conversion, power-to-x technologies, and renewable energy systems. Successful candidates should showcase the ability to turn fundamental advances into innovative practical technologies. They should also exhibit the capacity to evolve their research activities over the course of their career, supported by a solid foundation in fundamental principles of mechanical and process engineering. Successful candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in engineering or a related field and have an outstanding international track record of accomplishments in the fields outlined above, either in academia or industry. Depending on the level of appointment, they are expected to teach Master’s-level courses related to energy conversion and storage, as well as the underlying fundamentals in mechanical and process engineering on the Bachelor level, such as thermodynamics. In general, at ETH Zurich, undergraduate-level courses are taught in German or English, and graduate-level courses are taught in English. You will be joining us on an exciting step in our journey. The Epilepsy Society has been granted permission to develop part of its 300-acre estate in Chalfont. The sale from our land will realise about £93 million to enable us to expand our research portfolio and ultimately to double the amount spent annually on epilepsy research in the UK, attracting in excess of £10m per annum in research funding. This is a generational opportunity of national importance, but the funding realised by the sale of land is just the start. We are looking for an exceptional senior leader with the ambition, experience and gravitas to unlock and deliver research funding opportunities to secure £ multi-million income.
