Ibn Zohr University was established in 1989 and is named after the famous Andalusian scholar Ibn Zhor el-Iyadi (Avenzoar). It is a public university based in Agadir.

The university offers courses in 241 subjects at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels. These are taught through 23 centres located in five regions and eight university cities. Its faculties include science, technology, medicine, pharmacy, commerce, law, humanities, sharia and multidisciplinary studies.

It has 92 research centres focusing on areas such as sustainable development, geosciences, law, languages, chemistry, economics, engineering and life sciences. The university also has centres for doctoral studies, research cooperation, digital projects and intellectual property.

Our mission is to contribute through student education, scientific activity, and social engagement to a physically active and healthy life for all age and performance groups of the population, to the development of knowledge in the field of sports, and to respect for the rules of fair play in sports and in everyday life. We are looking for a mature personality with a clear vision and strategic thinking to take over the leadership of one of our departments. We expect an experienced academic who can combine scientific, pedagogical, and social activities and actively participate in developing the department and the entire faculty. POSITION OVERVIEW Department: Advanced Semiconductor Research Centre Position: Research Fellow Location: Suzhou, China Contract Type: Fixed-term, one term for 2 years ABOUT XJTLU In 2006 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University – a top ten university in China. Offering a unique international education experience, XJTLU brings together excellent research practice and expertise from both institutions and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to secure careers in a global marketplace. XJTLU now has over 25,000 enrolled students in both Suzhou and Liverpool in the UK,including more than 5,000 master’s and doctoral candidates. The Student Recruitment Event Team deliver all the virtual and in person events for prospective students to the University of Southampton. We are recruiting an administrator to coordinate student ambassadors to work in roles across our events. The role will advertise work opportunities, create ambassador rotas, deliver appropriate training and work with colleagues in the wider Event Team as well as academic staff and other professional services staff. The ability to work with Excel, Outlook and MS Teams as well as learn other systems such as virtual event platforms and CRM will enable you to succeed in the role. Good organising and timekeeping to administrate the multiple events through the cycle needs to be demonstrated, an understanding of Higher Education would be helpful but not essential and a willingness to support the delivery of in person and virtual events. We are looking for an individual who is committed to support the training and recruitment of ambassadors to enable them to represent the university and develop their skills in communication, presenting and customer service.
