National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has ranked Hindustan Institute of Technology is ranked in the 107th Position in India under Engineering category and ranked 20th in Architecture in the NIRF Rankings2020. In the international front HITS has achieved overall 201-300 rank in THE Impact rankings 2020. Research & Faculty Highlights

The Centre for Research and Consultancy (CRC) has been established to promote academic research, Sponsored research and consultancy. Researchers include full time scholars, part time scholars, faculty members, and post graduate and undergraduate students and they collaborate with colleagues across the University. The Centre for Research & Consultancy is headed by Director (Research) and assisted by Dean (Research), Associate Dean (Research) and three Research Coordinators looking after Academic Research, Funded Research, Consultancy respectively and an IPR Coordinator managing IP related issues.

There are 14 Centres of Excellence with excellent modern laboratoryfacilities, few of the centres are Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Centre for AircraftMaintenance, Centre for Autonomous System, Centre for Clean Energy & Convergence,Centre for Higher Education Leadership and Management, Centre for Automation andRobotics (ANRO) Recently, ANRO centre developed a high tech service robot namedSEVILI to assist Medical Frontline during COVID 19 Pandemic. Staff have earned patents and are associated with several projects.

Admission Process & Timelines

  1. UNDERGRADUATE

 HITS takes into consideration students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination with commendable marks for admission. The University strictly follows the eligibility criteria of UGC norms. Special Admission Programmes HITS recognizes the need for providing educational opportunities for people of widely varying ages and backgrounds. Therefore, special admission programmes are available for potentially successful students from disadvantaged, culturally deprived, or economically impoverished segments of the society. For further details, the Head Ofce can be contacted. Admission to HITS thus, is purely nondiscriminatory. Re-admission Students who were initially enrolled at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science but did not attend the particular semester/term can re-register, provided they left with good conduct and have not enrolled in any other institution after leaving HITS. Such students may be readmitted by submitting a Readmission Form. Students who have been dismissed either from HITS or any other institution will not be readmitted under any circumstances.

 

  1. POSTGRADUATE

Students who have passed their Degree Examination with commendable marks are considered for admission. The Institution strictly follows the eligibility criteria of the UGC norms. Admissions for P. G. Programmes are made through entrance test, group discussions and personal interview. Foreign and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) Candidates Candidates should fulfil the following minimum eligibility criteria to seek admission under -Foreign and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) Candidates Category. Admissions are based on the candidates' performance in the 10 + 2 or equivalent examination and satisfying the guidelines of respective councils governing the engineering and architecture education. The admission procedures, application form and fees are different from the domestic students.

Description NYUAD Experimental High Energy Physics group is searching for a post-doctoral associate to join the planned group's efforts to be involved in the ATLAS experiment as part of the UAE-ATLAS cluster, composed of three UAE institutions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in experimental high energy physics. The group will be contributing to the Physics Modeling (MC software, MC validation and Pileup modeling), the MET High-Level Trigger validation, optimization and performance studies, and to the heterogeneous computing where the focus will be to work on to the current efforts on accelerator developments towards the HL-LHC. Expertise in trigger development, performance and optimization and/or the ATLAS computing model is preferred. The selected candidate will work in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The appointment will be for two years, with the possibility for renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in the development of the group tasks and help in supervising PhD students. Applications are now invited for the following post: Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer Department of Psychology (Post Ref.: 26/31) “Health and Well-being” is the overarching theme for research and teaching at the Department of Psychology (http://www.LN.edu.hk/psy/), with faculty members specializing in positive occupational health psychology, cross-cultural psychology, and experimental social and cognitive psychology. In line with the liberal arts tradition of the University, the Department is also strongly committed to providing high quality teaching and a supportive learning environment to students. General Requirements Applicants should have a Master’s degree or above in Psychology. Applicants are required to provide evidence of quality teaching. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Teaching experience at tertiary institutions and/or administrative experience will be a distinct advantage. The appointee will teach or as a tutor / teaching assistant, assist course instructors in the teaching of basic and advanced courses for the psychology undergraduate programme as well as other psychology-related courses, such as “Introduction to Psychology”, “Human Development and Psychology of Adulthood”, “Abnormal Psychology”, “Social Psychology”, “Social Problem Solving and Decision Making in the Modern World”, “Self-improvement, Personal and Work Success”, “Religious Behaviour, Belief and Experience” and “Research Methods and Statistics for Psychology II”. In addition to teaching duties, the appointee will have to provide support to the operation of the Department, including promotion and publicity of the psychology undergraduate programme, and have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and services to the Department and the University community. Appointment The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee.
