National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has ranked Hindustan Institute of Technology is ranked in the 107th Position in India under Engineering category and ranked 20th in Architecture in the NIRF Rankings2020. In the international front HITS has achieved overall 201-300 rank in THE Impact rankings 2020. Research & Faculty Highlights

The Centre for Research and Consultancy (CRC) has been established to promote academic research, Sponsored research and consultancy. Researchers include full time scholars, part time scholars, faculty members, and post graduate and undergraduate students and they collaborate with colleagues across the University. The Centre for Research & Consultancy is headed by Director (Research) and assisted by Dean (Research), Associate Dean (Research) and three Research Coordinators looking after Academic Research, Funded Research, Consultancy respectively and an IPR Coordinator managing IP related issues.

There are 14 Centres of Excellence with excellent modern laboratoryfacilities, few of the centres are Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Centre for AircraftMaintenance, Centre for Autonomous System, Centre for Clean Energy & Convergence,Centre for Higher Education Leadership and Management, Centre for Automation andRobotics (ANRO) Recently, ANRO centre developed a high tech service robot namedSEVILI to assist Medical Frontline during COVID 19 Pandemic. Staff have earned patents and are associated with several projects.

Admission Process & Timelines

  1. UNDERGRADUATE

 HITS takes into consideration students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination with commendable marks for admission. The University strictly follows the eligibility criteria of UGC norms. Special Admission Programmes HITS recognizes the need for providing educational opportunities for people of widely varying ages and backgrounds. Therefore, special admission programmes are available for potentially successful students from disadvantaged, culturally deprived, or economically impoverished segments of the society. For further details, the Head Ofce can be contacted. Admission to HITS thus, is purely nondiscriminatory. Re-admission Students who were initially enrolled at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science but did not attend the particular semester/term can re-register, provided they left with good conduct and have not enrolled in any other institution after leaving HITS. Such students may be readmitted by submitting a Readmission Form. Students who have been dismissed either from HITS or any other institution will not be readmitted under any circumstances.

 

  1. POSTGRADUATE

Students who have passed their Degree Examination with commendable marks are considered for admission. The Institution strictly follows the eligibility criteria of the UGC norms. Admissions for P. G. Programmes are made through entrance test, group discussions and personal interview. Foreign and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) Candidates Candidates should fulfil the following minimum eligibility criteria to seek admission under -Foreign and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) Candidates Category. Admissions are based on the candidates' performance in the 10 + 2 or equivalent examination and satisfying the guidelines of respective councils governing the engineering and architecture education. The admission procedures, application form and fees are different from the domestic students.

Your personal sphere of play: The Isotope physics group operates the Vienna Environmental Research Accelerator (VERA), an internationally well-established facility for accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS). A particular strength of VERA is the capability to perform state-of-the-art measurements all across the nuclear chart. Extending the AMS method to isotopes previously impossible to measure with a 3MV-accelerator is an important research activity. The VERAcore facility provides easy access to the state-of-the-art technology available at VERA to address highly demanding interdisciplinary research questions. The goal is to utilise VERA for AMS in a collaborative manner i) within the University of Vienna, ii) for Austrian customers and iii) beyond in international partnerships. Preference will be given to candidates with a special focus on scientific support for sample selection and preparation, AMS analysis and the interpretation of radioisotope data. The position is initially limited to four years, with the option of a permanent contract subject to a positive evaluation of the University of Vienna Core Facility “VERAcore” in the fourth year. Your future tasks: Active participation in AMS-measurements for interdisciplinary research as well as in teaching and administration. This includes: Performing high-quality AMS measurements. Responsibility for support of external and student users. Participation in research projects / studies. Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance activities. Two-year contract | Part Time at 0.3FTE HEO Level 5 I $84,599 - $93,366 pa (pro-rata for part-time) | 17% Super Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Position Flinders University is seeking a Research Assistant to support an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) project titled “Transforming Community Corrections: Co-Designing and Testing a New Framework for Supervision.” This project brings together co-design and longitudinal research to improve supervision practices and support better desistance outcomes in community corrections. As a Research Assistant, you will contribute to high-impact, applied research in the justice sector while developing skills in complex research design, data management, and mixed-methods analysis. You will work closely with the Chief Investigator and research team to support the delivery of the project by: Preparing ethics applications, reports, and compliance documentation Conducting literature searches and summarising key findings Supporting participant recruitment, tracking, and retention over time Assisting with data collection scheduling and coordination Managing secure data storage and preparing datasets for analysis Liaising with community corrections stakeholders and project partners About You: You are a motivated and detail-oriented research professional with an interest in criminology, justice systems, or applied social research. You are comfortable working in a structured research environment and are eager to contribute to meaningful, real-world outcomes in community corrections. You bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to engage respectfully with participants and safeguard their data. You are developing or have foundational experience in research methods, data management, and literature review, and are keen to grow your capability in longitudinal and mixed-methods research.
