Your role The successful candidate will strengthen the Department of Law’s research area in Banking, Financial and Commercial Law, which is a cornerstone of the Department’s academic profile and a key contributor to the University’s reputation. They will pursue research and teaching in this field, focussing on Luxembourg, EU, and comparative transnational perspectives. The position is of particular strategic relevance given the Department’s ambition to maintain its leadership in financial law, a domain central to Luxembourg’s role as a global financial centre. The ideal candidate shows potential to: Develop an internationally recognized research profile in banking law in a broad sense, e.g., prudential regulation and bank supervision, depositary law, regulation of payments and payment systems, financial technologies, sustainable finance, secured transactions and consumer financial contracts, links to financial markets law Publish extensively in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, monographs, or authoritative treatises Contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives such as the FutureFinTechNCER and/or collaborate with the Department of Finance in the field of sustainable finance Teach in core areas of banking law. The ability to contribute to teaching in related areas of commercial law—such as financial and securities law, company law, insolvency law, the law of commercial contracts and torts - is an asset Cover legal frameworks at both EU and Luxembourg levels, adopting a comparative approach that includes neighbouring jurisdictions and other global financial centres Engage with Luxembourg and EU regulators (e.g. CSSF, CBL, ECB, ESMA), international organizations, e.g. IOSCO, BIS, FSB, etc., and other stakeholders, e.g. (inter‑)national law firms, industry and academic associations Acquire competitive research funding and establish and lead their own research team Show and develop leadership potential The candidate will join one of Europe’s most prominent academic groups in banking and financial law, distinguished by both its intellectual strength and research output. Your profile A Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree in Law Experience and interest in engaging in academic research at the highest level Publications in internationally recognized journals, monographs with international publishers or other publications in banking law (or other fields of financial law) indicating potential for excellent research Potential and aptitude for teaching and supervising research at the university level An excellent academic track record demonstrating both scholarly excellence and leadership potential Experience with externally funded research projects and interdisciplinarity is considered to be an asset Experience in interdisciplinary research—particularly at the intersection of law, finance, and technology—is a strong asset The successful candidate must commit to lecturing banking law, as well as related topics in financial and commercial law, at bachelor and master levels. Full-time, Continuing position Salary HEW 10A ($152,131) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus About the Role The Senior Manager, Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention will lead the development and implementation of the University's Gender-based Violence Prevention framework and support other key gender equity related strategies. The purpose of the framework is to apply contemporary, evidence-based strategies to reduce the prevalence of gender-based violence with three streams: Primary prevention: developing and maintaining a robust culture of respect. Secondary prevention: targeted interventions aimed at those at risk of perpetrating or experiencing gender-based violence, and Tertiary prevention: ensuring the institutional responses to gender-based violence minimise further harm, prevent re-occurrence and ensure perpetrator accountability. The role will design and coordinate a whole of organisation culture change program of work involving a large and diverse group of stakeholders as well as providing support and expertise to other key university initiatives. The role is responsible for managing budgets from multiple sources, business as usual, Government funding and grants. It will also regularly develop proposals or business cases for specific projects or initiatives to attract additional funding. To be successful for this position, you'll have: Demonstrated leadership and management capability, ideally within a complex organisation. Demonstrated ability to identify, design, develop, and deliver a range of innovative and effective gender-based violence prevention projects at a high-level Demonstrated understanding of working in complex situation and strategic project management; through various project management methodologies, principles and practices, including but not limited to risk management, reporting and resource and financial management. About the role: We are looking to appoint a Programme Manager to join Dr Heathcote’s team within the Health Psychology Group, Department of Psychology at King’s College London. We are seeking a proactive and organized Programme / Lab Manager to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of a 5-year Wellcome Trust funded research programme entitled ‘When your body betrays you: interoceptive mechanisms of anxiety after cancer’. This is an interdisciplinary research programme cutting across psychology, neuroscience, and patient-clinician communication. This dynamic role involves managing budgets, contracts, and collaborations across leading institutions (KCL, UCL, and Stanford), supporting clinical trial-related activities of novel digital mind-body therapies, and facilitating research dissemination through publications and science communication. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Principal Investigator and lab members, coordinating meetings, onboarding new staff, and fostering a positive and inclusive research culture. This role will require in-person attendance at Guy’s Hospital for at least two days per week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The additional 0.5 days can be worked either on Wednesdays or Thursdays and be worked flexibly, including at Guy’s or from home. The Health Psychology Section at King’s College London has played a pivotal role in advancing Health Psychology in the UK and continues to drive impactful research in long-term condition management and intervention development.
