GLA University

GLA University is located in the Mathura area of India. It was established in 1991 when businessman Shri Narayan Das Agrawal decided to fulfil the dream of his late father of establishing a quality institute for education to citizens of Mathura and beyond. 
The university is spread across 110 acres, and is home to a range of facilities from laboratories and classrooms to sporting and recreational facilities. The campus has dedicated spaces for football, cricket, hockey, badminton, and all major outdoor games. 
Offering a broad range of degree programmes, the university has nine institutes and 13 departments including: engineering, pharmacy, business, education, agricultural sciences, and physical education. Degree programmes can be taken at an undergraduate, graduate, doctorate and diploma level.
There are many opportunities for students to develop their skills outside of the classroom with events such as TEDxGLAU, an initiative that began in 2016, as well as the National Cadet Corps.

Your future position:

As a predoc university assistant, you will join the team of Prof. Dr. Lena Foljanty, Chair for Globalisation and Legal Pluralism, at the Department of Legal and Constitutional History. The chair’s research deals with globalisation processes in law from a historical perspective. We are particularly interested in PhD projects on colonial and decolonial processes, colonial epistemologies, transculturality, and critical examinations of Eurocentric historiography. Projects that bridge the gap between historical and current challenges are also welcome, provided that they include a legal history aspect.

The position

We are looking for an outstanding researcher in the area of Instructed Second Language Learning of the target language English. Teaching, course development and supervision will cover educational linguistics and language teaching and learning research. The position requires a background in both linguistics and foreign language teaching methodology. The ideal candidate has an excellent research profile and submits an exposé on future research projects and concrete project plans in the field of guided second language acquisition, target language English.

The position is shared between the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies and the Centre for Teacher Education. Physically, the position is based at the Department of English and American Studies, particularly in the sections of Linguistics and Language Teaching and Learning Research (Fachdidaktik). The position is integral to the department’s BEd and MEd programmes preparing English language teachers for secondary-level schools in Austria. As this will involve collaboration with the Austrian educational sector, German language proficiency at CEFR level B1 is expected within three years of employment.

Your academic profile:


	Doctoral degree/PhD
	Two years of international research experience during or after doctoral studies
	Outstanding research achievements, excellent publication and funding record, international reputation

	Experience in designing of and participating in research projects, ability to lead research groups and acquire third-party funding
	Enthusiasm for excellent teaching and supervision at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level

We are looking to fill a Senior Scientist position as Head of the Outpatient Unit for Research Teaching and Practice (FLPA) at the Faculty of Psychology.

The FLPA combines research, teaching, and practical application in the areas of psychological diagnostics as well as clinical-psychological and health-psychological prevention and intervention across the lifespan. The successful candidate will share responsibility for expanding the FLPA's activities in psychotherapeutic fields (in accordance with current legal provisions and regulations).

	Organizing and managing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient unit
	Participation in the expansion of psychotherapeutic services offered by the outpatient unit and in negotiations with health insurance companies
	Providing professional supervision and support for existing areas/services of the FLPA (e.g., testing and counseling center)
	Involvement in the planning of specialized training and continuing education programs
