Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be required to: take up substantial teaching responsibilities for courses related to Chinese language education in the Cantonese Steam; develop course curriculum, teaching and assessment materials; carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; and support and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements The appointee should possess: a University degree and Master’s degree or equivalent in Chinese language and literature, teaching Chinese as a second language, linguistics, or another relevant field; relevant teaching experience (normally 3 years’ post-qualification experience at tertiary level); the ability to design and deliver new courses as well as to employ second language pedagogy. An exciting opportunity is available for a talented qualitative researcher to join a successful team in the Primary Care Research Centre to conduct qualitative research and intervention planning for a primary care practitioner intervention to support autistic/ADHD/AuDHD adults with mental health problems The post is available under the supervision of Dr Hannah Bowers in close collaboration with the wider MINDS study team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for conducting qualitative interviews with primary care practitioners, analysing qualitative data and conducting stakeholder and lived experience workshops. The role will also include planning an intervention using the Person-Based Approach. There will be opportunities to contribute to other elements of the research subject to capacity and competencies. Applicants will have experience of conducting qualitative research. You will also have experience of working collaboratively with diverse teams. Successful applicants will have demonstrated their ability to work independently and efficiently in a research context and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail. Your knowledge and experience will usually have been gained through a relevant PhD, but may also have been achieved via other research experience, normally supported by a relevant postgraduate degree. The post is fixed term until 30/04/2027 and will be offered at 0.8 FTE from September 2026. Other FTEs will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A Standard Level DBS is required for this role. Your personal sphere of influence: As university assistant and doctoral student, you work in the Spatial Sustainability and Digitalization Transformation Hub (SSDT Hub) led by Yvonne Franz who is also the director of study program at the department. The SSDT Hub conducts research on the nexus of spatial analysis and sustainability and digitalization transformation. It aims to advance academic knowledge and debates on spatial thinking and a critical understanding of spatialized social transformation processes. The SSDT Hub consists of all working groups at the Department of Geography and Regional Research and is excellently embedded in the international network of researchers and practitioners. As doctoral student, you will contribute to addressing relevant socio-spatial processes which include research on housing market transitions, caring communities as well as social innovation in neighborhood development. This is part of your personality: Passion for urban studies related topics and strong interest in developing innovative methodologies. You hold a master’s degree or diploma (or equivalent) in Geography (or a related and relevant discipline) with at least distinction. A background in urban geography, urban studies, urban sociology or political science is an asset. Very good knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative social science research methods. Experience in research on Vienna is an asset. Profound skills in moderation and didactics. You are self-motivated, eager to grow, and capable of working both independently and in international team environments.
