Dordt University, established in 1955, is a Christian institution associated with the Christian Reformed Church. It is named after the historic Synod of Dordrecht which took place in the Netherlands in 1618 to 1619 and generated three major confessional statements of Reformed churches including the Canons of Dort.

The college says that “the curriculum is designed to give each student a complete comprehensive education from a solid, reformed, Christian perspective”. Students can choose from 30 majors and 12 pre-professional programmes. Some of these are actuarial science, agriculture, art and design, biology, business administration, chemistry, Christianity and popular culture, church music, communication, community development, computer science, construction management, criminal justice, digital media production, English, education, engineering, mathematics, nursing, philosophy, politics, sociology, social work, statistics, physics, theatre arts, theology and worship arts.

The Dordt campus is located in Sioux Center, Iowa, a town of 7,000 people which is an hour away from Sioux City, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

There are more than 30 majors and 12 pre-professional programs of study. Degrees include the four-year bachelor of arts, bachelor of science in engineering and in nursing, and bachelor of social work degrees, along with the two-year associate of arts degree, and a master of education degree.

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  Job Responsibilities Participate in and manage a few research projects with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Accumulate data from Co-PIs for quarterly, annual, or final progress reports Schedule meetings with co-PIs, collaborators on-site or off-site Update research or project team's activities on social media, website, and record videos when needed. Supporting PI/research team for overseas traveling, meetings, budgeting and collecting photos for reports. Facilitate visiting students or scholars for internal document collection and approval. Collect documents needed for different projects as KPIs. Undertake these responsibilities in the project: i. Lead and support high-quality publications to disseminate the applied research outcomes. ii. Plan, organize, and carry out experiments and trials in the labs to achieve the objectives iii. Manage and complete the project by presenting the findings in conferences or meetings with industrial collaborator, submitting timely data & documents, and purchasing chemicals or consumables. iv. Consolidate the data in order to generate sufficient scientific evidence for meeting slides and reports. v. Engage and communicate with collaborators for progress meetings and report generation to meet the grantor's requirements. The candidate is to liaise and communicate with any internal or external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met and to perform any other adhoc duties assigned by Supervisor.  Job requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of project management, organizing documents, and facilitating report drafting. Have a degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering or Science is a bonus. Some analytical work experience for texture analysis, food formulation and characterization, or publication is a bonus Detail-oriented person, able to communicate with industrial collaborators to share key findings, seek supports, or conduct commercial trials. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

The Early Career Awards (ECA) are designed to support Singaporeans who have recently completed their postdoctoral training and prepare them for an academic career at SIT. Supported Areas for START Health Sciences  Diagnostic Radiography: Radiography involves the controlled use of ionising radiation, radioactive substances and non-ionising radiation to produce diagnostic quality images of the human body, facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of patients (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Dietetics: Dietetics involves the management of medical conditions and promotion of health through application of food and nutrition. Dietitians provide medical nutrition therapy and implement specific diet strategies for chronic medical conditions, illnesses, or injuries (Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association). Nursing: Registered nurses render health services to individuals, families, and communities (Singapore Nursing Board Code for Nurses and Midwives 2018). Speech and Language Therapy: Speech and Language Therapy involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy involves assessment and interventions to work or school, self-care, leisure or play, physical environments as well as cognitive, mental and physical components of function to enable individuals affected by physical injury or illness, developmental or learning disabilities, psychosocial dysfunctions or the aging process, to engage in everyday life occupations in order to maximise independent performance of life roles, prevent disability and maintain health (Allied Health Professions Act 2011). Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy involves assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of pain, injury, or any other physical dysfunction, through the use of education, exercise, manual therapy, electro-physical agents, technology or any other treatment for those purposes (Allied Health Professions Act 2011).

About the area The UWA School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing combine Departments with strong identities and histories going back to the beginnings of UWA. About the opportunity Develop and apply advanced mathematical, computational and statistical models for infectious diseases (e.g., COVID-19, influenza, RSV), drive epidemic forecasting and analytics in Western Australia, secure competitive funding, publish in leading journals, and build national and international collaborations. Lead curriculum development and coordination of Infectious Disease Modelling, contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and supervise and mentor Honours, Master’s, PhD students and early-career researchers to build modelling capacity in WA. We are seeking an experienced Health Services Research project manager for the an exciting new Centre Program Manager position to support Melissa Baysari and the team in operational management of a new NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence (CRE). The "CRE in Human Factors and AI-enabled Clinical Decision Support" is being led by the Digital Health Human Factors Group. You will work on managing multiple CRE research projects and capacity building initiatives related to the design and implementation of clinical decision support systems.
